Appearance: Hazy dark orange. One finger soapy off-white head.

Aroma: Big burst of citrus; orange and a bit of grapefruit. A little bready malt presence as well.

Taste: Very orange citrus dominated flavor. I'm not a huge fan of that hop flavor but if that's your thing than this is the IPA for you. Hints of grapefruit and orange rind as well. There is a decent amount of malt in this one as well. Almost a bit of a roasted flavor on the finish but fades quickly. Finish is dry. A decently complex IPA.

Mouthfeel: Moderate effervescence and just above medium bodied. Slightly below average drinkability.

Final Thoughts: The thing that's missing for me in this IPA is the juicyness that I tend to associate to some degree with that citrus flavor. Would I drink it again? Maybe. Founders makes a lot of other great beers that I'd pick over this one.

"Bottled on 08/14/12" About 1.5 months old, 12 oz. bottle poured into Founders Pint Glass
A- Crytal clear copper-colored body, 1.5 finger slightly off-white head, good retention,, lacing
S- Hops, some citrus, malty balance, and sugary sweetness
T- Nice dry hoppy bitterness, pine and citrus, a subtle sugary candy flavor, pez maybe?, goes along great with the citrus and hops, flavors linger
M- Very dry with a good balance, a little oily and sticky
O- One of the dryest IPA I'ver had, the flavors are fantastic, nice complexity of hops, malt, citrus and pine, sugary sweetness is unique, good stuff for sure.

Bottled on date of 7-31-12.

A- Comes out of the bottled a hazy orange to full gold hue. Small to medium head that retains for a minute or two. Laces pretty well, leaving an intricate spiderweb-like pattern of thin foam going down the glass.

S- The scent is a full frontal assault of hops bitterness. Mostly pine scents with an underlying sweetness. Not terribly complex, but a solid, strong hop backbone even after almost three months from the bottle date.

T- Starts off with a hops bitterness bang, followed up by a solid malt profile to support the heavier hop flavors. Bitterness makes a strong comeback in the second half of the drink, and continues right through to the finish. Aftertaste continues to be the solid bitterness level, but is clean and not long lasting.

M- Typical IPA mouthfeel here. Relatively high levels of carbonation with a slick feel on the palate. Overall weight is versatile...good on a hot day and during the colder months too.

Overall, another high quality, affordable brew from Founders. Further solidifies them as my favorite brewery. They do the best stouts and now I can say they do good IPA, not to mention the rest in between.

Nitro growler courtesy of the Beer Boutique on Brooklyn. Superb brew! This one is beautifully clear with with a thick head that is leaving a lot of lace on the glass.. Color is perfect is with a lot of darkness to the overall orange hue. head is light bone white and creamy. Nice sweet smell has caramel in abundance with a yeasty bread base that serves up the pine forrest of hops that color the nose. Taste follows with chunks of warm bread and toasted graininess. A dry citrus hops cuts in and stops the malt party. Hop oil lingers and seems to drip from the sides of my mouth and edges of my tongue. A light sweetness underpins the finish that brings full force to the multilayered hop bouquet. Grapefruit and pine, it runs the gamut. Feel is dry and crisp with a stickiness to a medium weight body. Carbonation is quite cask like with a mild effervescence that gives a silky, easy, drinkability. A delicious and desirable beer that makes itself a top pick in this category.

Very easy pour. Into a Duvel tulip...

Two-finger, soft-white head. spotty lacing, nothing amazing. However, very viscous. Brew moves like gel and grows when swirled. Brew is cloudy and hazed. Not overly impressive.

Just like the name represents, it's centennial... Lots of centennial, dare I say only centennial? It's a wonderful nose for not have much complexity.

Lots of cotton candy flavors on top of heavy floral flavors. Perfect medium carbonation on top of bitter sweetness. Creamy, buttery, and sharp.

A very basic one hop IPA that delivers a nice flavor punch. Recommended. Thank you Matt for sharing as a nice extra. A nice take on a relativity basic IPA.
