Pours a nice gold/orange hue with a slight white head. Minimal lacing. Clean/clear look to the body.
Smell is lots of citrus notes. Not an overpowering smell, but noticeable enough. Hop profile is there in the smell but I can't define it.
Taste is a pleasantly balanced one. Citrus fruits dominate upfront and it lingers into only the slightest of sweetness, finishing with but a bit of bitterness.
Mouthfeel is average.... crisp enough for the style but in the end it starts feeling a bit watery.
I'm alwaya a fan of beers that have a lot of hop/citrus taste but not a lot of bitterness or extreme residual sweetness, so this fits the bill in that sense. But at the same time, compared to beers off the top of my head that I think are at least somewhat similar, like Daisy Cutter or Little Hump, I perfer those two to this. The biggest problem (and I didn't deduct for this) for me though is that if the point of this beer is to be "sessionable" (and, I would assume cost less to produce per batch) then why am I paying the same for this as I would for Red's Rye? Even making it just $1 or $2 less than their usual offerings would mean a lot IMO.
