Pours a slightly hazy golden orange with a thin off-white head. Aromas of pineapple, and a hint of pine. The flavors start with some grapefruit rind, then a hint of biscuity malt, and finishing with a pounding of pine flavor. Mouthfeel is pretty good. Overall a good session beer, though I would prefer a bit more citrus and less pine personally.

The only beer I've had from Founders that left me disappointed. It was bottled several months ago so this might be an unfair review.

A - Clear, amber. Foam that fades fast, very little lace.

S - The best part of this beer. Juicy, sugar, hops, and fruit.

T - More bite than I'd expect in a session ale, semi-dry but with a dry finish.

M - Pleasant, leaves a nice taste that lingers.

O - Decent. Perhaps this beer represents not a failure, but the extremely high standard I hold Founders to. There's nothing at all wrong with this beer, so maybe I'm only disappointed because usually their brews make me believe in magic.

12 oz. bottle poured into pint glass.

A-Two fingers of nice, light suds which dissipated slightly over 1-2 minutes. Deep, golden color. Good clarity.

S-Tropical fruit with some dankness, which is a nice surprise with this session ale.

T-Pine, pineapple, mango, matches smell closely. Very enjoyable.

M-Thin, as you might expect from a session beer. Relatively quenching for a dank beer due to the mouthfeel.

O-I really like this beer for a lighter alternative to the IPA. Nice hop quality in something that you can drink several of while camping, etc. without getting too crazy. I hope it can be available for less than the price of regular IPA, as I think a lot of breweries our using this session IPA trend to gouge their customers. Fewer hops, less malt, less price.
