this beer is good for what it's meant for: a tasty, refreshing yet flavorful beer, and out of a can, it's a go to, easy to grab, great when fresh and cold and right outta the can. I prefer it that way. its not really big or complex, just a great beer to hang out and drink, got a 15pk of cans

Pours out to a frothy white head that laces erratically but thickly. Color is a dirty deep golden. Aroma presents with a tangy, piney, spicy, herbal hop character and slight pale grains. Flavor is very much like any other IPA with strong hop flavors and very little malt character. Bitterness is appropriate to the gravity, although a bit skewed toward alpha acids. Mouthfeel is similar to domestic lagers, light, airy and crisp. Overall, this is a beer that defies its low gravity. Having been introduced to the style in Oklahoma brewpubs who had to improvise on the 4% abv limit they had to work within, I knew American IPA can be credibly done without the 6%+ abv. It takes getting used to (for me, again), but the upshot is that you get the same satisfying hop rush but you can drink this stuff all session long and still have your wits about you.

355mL Can. Served in DFH/Sierra Nevada IPA glass.

A: Pours a hazy golden colour with an initially large head comprised of large and hollow bubbles; recedes quickly to an unpleasant-looking muck atop the beer. Minimal carbonation visible. Lacing is good but messy.

S: I get a heavy skunkiness at the front that lingers in the background until the end. Some nice basic pine and some herbal hop notes. Hint of citrus. Simple aroma but not bad.

T: Caramel sweetness followed by a sharp hit of grapefruit that lingers. Notable grass and a heavy piney hop presence which accentuates the bitterness. Again, fairly standard but well done.

M: Medium body. Amazingly smooth. Medium carbonation. Adore the mouthfeel.

O: A well-made, simple IPA that is exceptionally tasty for the low ABV. I would and will session this. As advertised!
