Appearance - A darker IPA than some. It pours with a very slight head and seems to be unfiltered.
Smell - The most prominent smell is grapefruit which I especially like in a good IPA.
Taste - Again, the grapefruit takes center stage which is more than adequate for me.
Mouthfeel -Light mouthfeel and a decent amount of carbonation.
Overall - This is a fantastic IPA. This has been my go to beer for the last two outings of a fishing weekend that involves playing long sessions of Texas Hold' Em. Everyone else at the table thinks I'm drinking a 8-9% DIPA and they are drinking 5% Buds. so I think I have a leg up on them.

After pouring into a glass, this beer just looks great. Light golden hue with a decent head. I was a bit wary when the smell hinted at too much citrus but the actual taste was great. Low alcohol gives the ingredients a nice venue to be shown off. I loved the hopes with hints of grapefruit but not being overpowered by it. It was just so nice to have a flavorful yet clean IPA. Any downside this beer has is that it feels a little light, like with the flavor there should be more character to the beer. Overall I was very impressed and would definitely recommend.

S-Nice fruity and citrus aroma with pineapple.

T-Taste is medium bitter with pineapple and citrus. Light on hops.

M-Medium body and average carbonation. Nice and hoppy aftertaste.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle into my mouth.
Finishing the night with this one.

A - Clear, clean. yellow/orange.

S- Not getting a ton of hop aroma out of this. Not sure on bottling date (can't find one that's readable) Non-descript "hoppy" presence although restrained.

T- To start off, obviously this is a "Session" beer. Seems watered down, almost an "ipa light" but that is sort of what they are advertising on the bottle. This is ending my night after having a couple and I'm not sure if my palette is too far gone to return to an easy drinker lightish beer. overall though, I'm not getting too much. It's hard for me to bill this as an IPA, more like a lower abv pale ale (but again, palette fatigue)

M- Crisp, clean, take a swig and it's gone. Dry and easy drinking.

Nice to see lower alcohol IPAs making more of a showing in the market. Sometimes I just want something a little lighter, but with flavor. This is one of the better ones- particularly when very fresh. when you a lovely floral hop aroma and flavor- delicate, but definitely flavorful. It does fade fairly quickly on the shelf, so freshness is key. A nice option.

Poured from a 12 fluid ounce bottle into an IPA glass. No freshness date.

Appearance: A modest white head forms above a golden amber body. The body is hazy but translucent. It looks very pleasant when held up to light.

Smell: Citrus drenched hops. Minor notes of bready grains.

Taste: The bitterness from the hops hits the tongue first. Pretty straightforward citrus notes... grapefruit in particular. Malts were there, just did not give off significant notes.

Mouthfeel: Medium carbonation. Medium-Light body.

Overall: All Day IPA is a pretty straightforward IPA. The hops are not as wild as other varieties but they pack a clean, fresh punch that makes this beer enjoyable to drink. I would say this is a textbook example of a "weekend beer".

A: Nice golden body with a white head that sticks around long enough. Leaves sticky lacing down the sides of the pint glass.

S: What you'd expect from a lighter, session IPA. Hops of front reminiscent of fresh cut grass. Floral and citrus notes on the back.

T: Incredibly light and a easy entry beer for those new to craft. Doesn't have an overwhelming hop presence like you'd find in bigger IPAs. The beer tastes incredibly fresh.

M: Lighter mouthfeel, easy drinking. Very much a beach beer.

O: Solid offering even though I don't choose it too often. Very light for those wanting to drink a few without feeling the effects.

Poured from a bottle.
Looks like a nice clean pale ale. Nothing overly memorable.
Smells like hops. Not as citrusy as some other IPAs
Tastes like hops. Not a lot of balance here. This is just a very hoppy beer.
Mouthfeel is what you'd expect from a very hoppy IPA without a lot of balance. Finish is bitter.
Overall: not one of my favorites in this category:

Golden-amber pour, clear, with a bubbly white head that receded to a ringlet; dots of lacing on the glass. Basic aroma of citrus pith and distant biscuity malts. Similar taste, a biscuity malt base overlaid with citrusy, pithy hops, mild but lasting bitterness. Nothing new here, but nothing wrong with that. Light-medium body, and easily drinkable, good for the summertime. Sessionable? Sure, it's nice and goes down easily. But I'll take a Centennial or a Double Trouble over this any day.

Hazy and amber-gold in color. The beer has a lasting white head. The aroma has citrus, pine, and orange peel. Some distant grain and malt are present also. The beer is balanced, but a little on the dry side. Hoppey, fresh, and very enjoyable. The beer is medium in body.

12 oz bottle from six at FMcD's, poured into standard pint glass

A - Clear golden orange, with little to no head

S - Pine, heavy grapefruit, grass

T - More of the same, with some biscuit and tinge (check) of malt. The bitterness and hops dominate the finish.

M- Extremely crisp, above average carbonation. Seems slightly thin/watery, but I believe that is part of the "session" qualities they were going for.

O - A good, basic, low alcohol IPA.

Poured a light brassy hue with a one finger foamy white head. There was good retention and lacing.

The smell featured a resinous piney hop.

The taste offered waves of pine, orange and apricot atop a light grainy pale malt.

The mouthfeel was toward the lighter side of the style as expected.

Overall a very tasty, hop forward session ale.

T - 4.5 - Pine, grapefruit, mango, bready malt in the background and finish. So good considering it's a small beer.

O - 4.25 - Great session beer.

A simple beer all around. Pours a nice golden amber color with a decent head that sticks around for a nice amount of time. Smells of your typical IPA elements; grapefruit and pine. The taste though is very simple. There is a forward push of hops and citrus notes but very little behind it. The initial taste is very enjoyable but quickly turns to a bitter, astringent flavor that is vaguely reminiscent of(what I can only describe as) feline urine. Its not a horrible beer but definitely not what I expect from a brewery like Founders. Would purchase again only in a pinch.

Pours a clear golden color with a tight, white head that leaves chunks of lacing.

Smells of pine and citrus hops.

Tastes of the citric hops with a light malt backbone. Hops lead off with pine, citrus, and floral notes with a fair amount of bitterness. Bready malts come in but not much in the way of sweetness. Finishes with a spicy and earth hop kick.

Mouthfeel is medium with a crisp amount of carbonation.

Overall, this accomplishes its goal of being a flavorful, low alcohol IPA.

Bottle: a stumpy 355mL brown bottle with a nice old-school label.

Appearance: pours a crystal clear golden amber with a decent off-white head that sits at one-finger. Minimal lacing.

Aroma: an intensely nose of orange citrus, pine and grass hops. There are some earthen characters in the background too, which is nice.

Taste: follows from the nose, and I am happy to report that unlike most IPAs that have a strong nose, this one also has an even more intense flavour of pine and citrus. Those earthen characters and some malts are around in the background again.

Aftertaste: hangs about for quite a time, with a touch of alcohol to boot. Plenty of hop bitterness. Nice.

Mouth feel: a moderate body with plenty of carbonation.

Overall: a particularly good example of the American IPA style. Plenty of hops up front with just enough presence from the malts and warming alcohol to round it out. At AU$75 a case of 24 x 355mL (2013) it is better value than plenty of less impressive options.

Appearance. Gold, a little hazy and clear.

Smell: Right off the bat I think grass and pine. That's it. At this point, my expectations were lowered.

Taste: I'm liking this. I'm not a fan of bitter IPAs (not sure why anyone would be), but this was not bitter. Nice hoppy flavor (citrus, grapefruit), nice and clean.

Mouthfeel: Very smooth, nice body. Very light. I see why they call it All Day IPA... you could definitely drink it all day, no doubt.

O: Compared to other beers that you can drink "all day", this is one of the best. Not my favorite, but in my top 10 of "all day" beers.

Poured from a 12 oz. bottle into a snifter.
Medium to light amber with minimal head that disappeared relatively quickly.
Aromas were of mild hops, with presence of slightly bready malt background.
Taste was spot on. Mild bitterness with good high notes of citrus hops.
Mouthfeel was fine.
Overall for a 4.7% ABV beer, this had great hop profile and fits the definition of a sessionable IPA.

As the beer aims for: a session beer with a nice IPA flavour that keeps you coming back for more

aroma: floral, spice, grapefruit and citrus predominate

taste: floral, spice, grapefruit, citrus and pine with malt to balance it out

nothing outstanding but it's goal is for sessionability with quality taste and lowish alcohol content - which it has achieved outstandingly, hence the 4 for overall

Just a few short comments for this AIPA. I will start off by saying, look at the name. All Day IPA. A session ale. I think Founder's hit a homerun on this one. This brew has all the points of any other mainstream India Pale Ale, but in a softer, chuggable format, due to lower ABV. I drink mine straight from the can, anytime, anywhere it's viable. Heck, even the can looks chill and relaxing. I can't imagine anyone who enjoys IPA's to say this is not exactly what the can says. If you go in expecting Pliny the Elder, you will be disappointed. BUT, if you go in expecting BMC lager, you will be pleasantly surprised and wearing a nice smile all day.

All Day IPA is an orange- colored brew with a very slight head of foam that doesn’t hold together very long and leaves little or no lacing. This beer has a nose of citrus with some pine and pale malt lurking close behind. The body is a little hazy and the beer pours very easy and freely.

This IPA is a little lighter than the average, with the flavors of citrus hops, pale malts, tropical fruit, pineapple, and some biscuit- like malt. The overall flavor profile is lighter than other IPA, but still nicely balanced and sessionable. The body is very free- flowing and the beer finishes much cleaner than other IPA.

Lower alcohol and with less hop bitterness than other IPA, All Day IPA is exactly the type of beer you would expect. No, it isn’t going to satisfy the extreme hop cravings many of us have, but it is good when you want to taste some hops but want the hops kept in check. Founders actually did a good job balancing out this beer and making it just hoppy enough to satisfy and just light enough to make it good for everyday consumption. It’s another winner from one of America’s best breweries.

I had this at the bar because I thought the bar was serving Sixpoint Global Warming, and I still haven't had SGW!!! But I did get to try this.
While I was drinking it I couldn't tell if it was oh so lovely or if it was just too much distinctive grapefruit. I really tasted like yummy grapefruit juice, though normally I don't like grapefruit juice. It was sort of pristine in a way. Hops notes are tremendous but so palatable. I think of cigar and cardamom on the nose, a smooth mouthfeel but complex enough to stick around with each sip.
This is supposed to be their session beer, if I hadn't already been drinking at home I'd have continued with this one. So yeah I wasn't sure about that grapefruit but then I couldn't get the beer off my mind. That's what signifies a good beer to me: when I can't get that flavor off my mind. It happened with Carton Brunch Dinner Grub and it happened with this.
I think it's Founder's best (i)PA.
