Pours a golden color with a slight orange tint. A small head of white foam with medium retention and lacing.
A nice, mild citrus and floral hop aroma. Slightly piney.
The taste is more mild than the aroma. Very little malt presence and a good dose of citrus hops.
Very light body, as is expected from the name and the low ABV. The beer goes down smoothly and I feel ready to have another beer as soon as I'm done.

Overall it is a solid pale ale, but my main problem is that it's not an IPA! As I am rating to style and this just doesn't meet the expectation I have when something is listed as an American IPA, I can't give this any better of a rating. My other problem with this is the price. It costs just as much as Centennial IPA, Founders Porter, and Dirty Bastard. At this price I don't see why I would ever buy this again when other good pale ales are being sold for cheaper.

Appearance: orangey gold with a thin white fizzy head, and great clarity

Aroma: very grapefruity, strong tropical fruit aroma. No malt character.

Taste: very thin, actually surprisingly thin tasting. Almost no malt character and almost all grapefruit hop flavor. It actually tastes likes hop steeped water.

Mouthfeel: very thin and light bodied in a way that is wrong for the style. Medium carbonation

Overall: Disappointing for such a great brewery, especially one known for such strong beers like Dirty Bastard. No malt flavor makes the beer taste like hop steeped water.

I have this for breakfast, most work-weeks long. It's either this or some ridiculous Double IPA that makes me want to remove my intestinal tract around lunch-time... for whatever reason [not liking most piss mainstream 'beer'], this light, crisp refreshing brew is suitable for every hour, day.

Something about the sharp, cheap punch combines with possibly a de¢ent, hippity of hop-like spurt. Without punching you in the face.

The artwork, PERFECT; some beat-down, wood-paneled station wagon meandering down this perfectly-manicured suburban [dirt?] road. To nowhere. From nowhere. Just sipping away, all day, this beer.

And then, Monday morning comes around, zero miles padelled, we'll fret. [6]

Pours a clear gold with one finger thick white head, spotty lacing. Smell: big grapefruit stank, herbal, pine, light apricot note in back. Taste: citrus rind, herbal, peach tea, spicy and rindy finish. Feel is light, a little too slick. Still tasty and refreshing.
