Eyes: Pale gold glass with chill haze. Holds a very thin cover of white foam that gives up a little lace.

Nose: Rich and powerful citric punch, mostly grapefruit skin with a little pine backing. A touch of sweetness makes it's way through as well.

Taste: Hops are center stage, the citric gives way to a lightly earthy tea flavor. A little bit of base sweetness keeps it from striping the enamel from your teeth, but given all the hop flavor your brain says IPA, then says this one is watery. I put this more into the XPA category.

Mouthfeel: Watery texture, lightly fizzy body, light oily finish.

Overall: Great nose, but the beer is a little light for my tastes. I see where they are going with a hoppy lawnmower, but all the hops makes this more of a slower sipper rather than a refreshing drink. Glad I got it, I'll enjoy the 6 pack but I think I'll move on to other beers.

Appearance: Light honey

Aroma: Like sticking your nose in a big bag of fresh marijuana. Pure, clean hop aroma that makes you want eat the smell. Jumps right out of the glass.

Taste: Much more restrained in taste than in smell but with a lot of the same qualities. Bright, citrusy. Really holds on to a lot the flavor you want in an IPA while also being light and refreshing.

Mouthfeel: Somewhat thicker and more viscous than you would expect. Light sting on the back of the mouth that dissipates quickly.

Overall: An excellent example of the session IPA style. I could see myself drinking this beer on a hot day and getting a lot of the things I like in an IPA without too much body or overkill in the hop department. Somehow though, the taste, aroma, and mouthfeel seem a little at odds with each other.

Bottle purchased and drank at Next Door Bar and Grill in Pittsford, NY.

Pours a medium-dark amber color, with a half inch head, and some good lacing down the glass.

The aroma is all grapefruit, all the time. Just pungent as hell.

The taste is pretty similar. The bitterness is fairly astringent, due to how light bodied this is. Tons of grapefruit bitterness, a little bit of pine. No malt flavor whatsoever, as session IPAs tend to be.

Light bodied, slightly watery, full carbonation, relatively drinkable.

Not on board really with the session IPA thing, this one wasn't too bad, though.

Pours a little cloudy, yellow with a thin head and no retention. No lace, a little yeast floating on top. It doesn’t look like much. The nose is big. Crisp with citrus, spice, tangerine, hay , floral and a even a little lemon. Good pine and resin. There’s a touch pale malt and only a very little bread. Some caramel sweetness as it opens up. Catty as it warms. Taste is really terrific for a very light beer. This has a low abv but it smells and tastes like a big beer. Citrus and floral. The hops pronounce the drink delicious and and stay with it all the way through. There is a just a little grain and bread and a decent bitterness. Some yeast and sour grapefruit. Body is a little thin and has brisk carbonation.Slightly bitter and slightly dry in the finish. This is a good session beer just like it promises. Low in alcohol so you can drink it all day and low in calories too. Has plenty of flavor and was satisfying.

355ml bottle from Good Spirits Co, Glasgow (£2.60):
Medium amber with a small, bubbly white head that settles down & holds just a tiny bit smaller than the initial size.

Fresh hops, citrus, pine & mango with apricot notes too. A refreshing and very summery.

Citrus & pine hops with some tropical fruits notes, mainly mango and apricot plus some pineapple too. There is some light grapefruit and plenty of bitterness too.

Light medium with a hoppy, bitter feel. The beer is quite smooth and goes down well in the heat with a crisp, dry finish.

Particularly good in the sun with a smooth and bitter taste that is loaded with citrus and backed up with some tropical fruits. A beer that goes down quite well and made for easy drinking, definitely worth a try.
