A: Pours a crystal clear dark golden yellow to pale copper in color with moderate amounts of visible carbonation throughout. The beer has a finger tall slightly fizzy white head that quickly reduces to a large patch of thin film and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Light to moderate amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Light to moderate aromas of pine, citrus/grapefruit, and citrus/orange rind hops. Very enticing.

T: Similar to the smell, the dominant flavors in this beer are those of the hops - pine, citrus/grapefruit, and citrus/orange rind. There is a light amount of bitterness which lingers in the finish. Upfront there are very light notes of malty sweetness.

M: Just shy of medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Clean and crisp.

O: Super easy to drink and definitely sessionable - I could easily sip around and put these back all day long. Very enjoyable with a delicious flavor - also very well balanced. This would be a great session IPA for the late spring and early summer.

12oz bottle into a Founders imperial pint glass
Bottled on 08/21/12

A: A small white head forms on the pour and soon fades. Body is a clear golden-orange and moderate carbonation can be seen within.

S: I think this is where All Day IPA shines the most. It has a nice piney aroma accented by citrus rind and tart grapefruit notes. Pretty nice.

T: The flavor does not quite deliver what the nose promised. The flavor profile about matches what I smelled, but in a toned down way. Lots of tongue smacking is required to draw out those mellow hop flavors. I think this is partly because of the "All Day" aspect of this beer. With toned-down hop flavor, you can drink more of it quite easily. The low 42 IBUs also help with sessionability, but that is just not nearly enough bitterness for my tastes.

M: This beer has a nice body to it, with appropriate carbonation and feel. Finish feels solid also.

O: While not measuring up in the flavor department for someone that really loves hops, I think this could be an excellent starting point for someone trying to get into the style. I also think Founders accomplished their goal of creating a beer to fit in the emerging sub-style of session IPA. They nailed what they were going for, but it just wasn't enough to blow me away.

Slightly hazy gold with a thin but solid white head that leaves nice rings of lacing. Nice aromas of peach, mango, grapefruit, and pineapple with a very mild malt backbone. Taste is similarly tropical and fruity, with a light malt profile and mild bitterness. Excellently drinkable, with a medium-thin body and good carbonation. Overall it's exactly what I expected : a deliciously drinkable and sessionable brew from one of the best breweries on the planet!

Bottled just about a month ago, so fairly fresh. Pours a clear golden color with a small white head. Scent is quite hoppy, yet mellow at the same time. Not a very big malt profile, which is what I was hoping for. Some lovely lemon aromas and sweet orange scents. Taste is just as it smells...but a little less hoppy. It is a very tasty beer, but the hops kinda die off in the flavor. I'm sure when it's very fresh that it is a way better beer. Has some similar characteristics as Sierra Nevada Pale. Mouthfeel is light and crisp. Drinkability is very high. Overall, this is a very tasty pale ale that is very sessionable. I could see myself easily putting away a six pack of this by myself on a warm summer day.
