Great smell, great taste. You really could drink this stuff all day long. Powerful citrus smell and flavor. Not overly hoppy. Well balanced. Can't wait to have it again.

DATE TASTED: December 27, 2015... GLASSWARE: Brew at the Zoo pint...OCCASION: lazy Sunday, football watching and Lego building... APPEARANCE: mushroom cloud of head explodes in an off-white sponge and cloud... the wake left exhibits respectable coral lacing... body is slightly hazy, golden orange and lightly carbonated... AROMA: mango, tangerine, and grapefruit make for a tropical waft of hops--nothing dank here... malts are light, wispy suggestions of fresh biscuit; slight return of pine, nowhere near its less sessionable brethren... PALATE: medium-bodied and reasonable in its weight; highly drinkable, as the label propounds; slightly sloughing in its intensity after the initial burst of effervescence; leaves a pleasant, brief aftertaste.. TASTE: a balanced start, with grapefruit and mango blending with fresh toasted bread; secondary flavors of pine and lemon grass--the latter of which is soft and almost wheat-like in its smoothness...OVERALL: as expected, it's either a toned-down IPA or a slightly more flavorful pale--tough to dispute its utility, regardless of its muddling of nomenclature...

This poured into a glass with a nice rocky slightly off white head. Color was a nice golden slightly hazy color with lots of streaming bubbles.
The smell was an immediate punch of citrus hops with some floral tones. The citrus smell was nice but overpowered any other notes.
The taste was a follow up to the smell. A punch of citrus and floral hops but without the usual bite of bitterness that an IPA has.
The feel is clean and crisp and does not have any real oily feel to it.
Overall This is an easy drinking IPA without a high ABV and without a lot of bitterness. I found this at our local supermarket at a decent price for a 15 pack so that helps put a smile on my face. It is cold now, but on a hot day here in Las Vegas, with an All Day that was ice cold, I probably would not complain.

Pours a light copper color with two big fingers of head. The nose has the mild essence of hops. The body is quite thin and the flavor profile is not even terribly hoppy.

Bottle.

A: Citrusy-fruity hops, with a light pine note followed by light malt sweetness.

A: Amber color with a light orange hue, totally clear, with a thick foamy white head that has adequate retention.

T: Citrusy, fruity, slightly piney hops with a light malt character. The beer finishes dry with moderately light hop bitterness.

M: Light bodied with moderate carbonation.

O: Pretty solid citrusy, fruity and piney hop aroma and flavor with a light malt presence – makes this beer very sessionable and easy to drink. I dig that Founders prints the date on the beer. The fresh aroma and flavor already “said” the beer was recently bottled, but it’s always nice to have a printed date confirm it.

12oz can with a travel mug
Noted on 06/17/2015

Picked this one up in Flagstaff, AZ at the Magic Mobile Gas Station

A: The All-Day IPA pours a clear golden amber with some modest copper hues. A nice thick lather of bone white foam builds over top and stays true for a few minutes before falling back into my cup. Lots of broken tracks and sticky dotted lacing decorate the walls after every sip.

S: Super centennial-citra hop skunkiness! All catty like with candied grapefruit and sticky pine tree plucking at the nose. Getting some light lemongrass and gooseberry to this with a pale malt sweetness underneath. Wowie wow is this incredibly pungent and aromatic with fresh ripe green hops. Really solid.

T: That same momentum carries over in the taste with a little more assertion from the malt sweetness. Comes across as a dry table cracker with a hint of caramel but it is actually quite neutral here. Grapefruit zest rolls over the tongue in spades and rounds out with some pineapple, mango, and catty herbals. Finishes with a bit of earthy bitter goodness that carries through to a resinous linger. Super juicy for such a small table brew.

M: Super light and crisp as to be expected. There is an even amount of spritzy carb to this and an upper moderate amount of biting bitterness mid-stream. Finishes very dry and crisp with a nice lasting linger.

D: A great brew. Seems Founders has this one really dialed in. A top 5 “sessions” IPA for me. Incredibly pungent and juicy for such a tiny brew. Reminds me a lot of the Centennial IPA but with Citra added and less malt influence. Man I would treat this on the regular if we got Founders in SoCal.

I keep meaning to review this beer but then I end up drinking it all day and then I forgot to..
Full fledged IPA flavors while less than 6% alcohol. Less than 5?
My sample is from a can; I don't recall an appreciable difference between bottle and can. I can usually get a15 pack of this for around $20 and I'm happy to pay that.
Tart, refreshing, interesting. I intend to keep plenty of this in my fridge at any point in time.

Wow, this is truly a great all day IPA. PLENTY of citrus and hops, but not overwhelming. This is the kind of beer I can destroy and not feel guilty. The 15 pack is perfect for summer outings.

Got this one in Buffalo during this year's GABER event. Cheers!

From a can into a snifter
IBU: 42

APPEARANCE: Pours a small, one finger, looser, foamy, off-white head with good retention. Clear amber gamboge in color with medium levels of carbonation. Head fades to a foamy wisp only. Looks a little flat by the end and leaves no real lacing to speak of. Lack luster for the style.

SMELL: Lots of hops here. Honeydew melon, grapefruit, caramel and hints of lemon. Lots of cascade hops. Bold enough as well.

TASTE: Grassy up front with melon and some citrus bitterness at the swallow. Medium aftertaste of grapefruit bitterness, grassy hops, some melon and lemon citrus flavors linger on the palate. Flavorful stuff.

PALATE: Medium body and medium levels of carbonation. Light on the palate, somewhat foamy, goes down fine and finishes dry.

OVERALL: This was actually really nice. I've been overwhelmingly unimpressed with the new craze on session IPA's, as they're usually just watered down versions of their forefathers. This one isn't as robust or impressive as the real thing, but it's well done and is plenty enjoyable in that man-it's-hot-and-I-want-a-quick-one kind of way. The look could use some work, but otherwise, this is a solid, solid effort in this style. Recommended.

A real light yellow color, white head. Good hop aromatics, simcoe. Taste is again, green earthy hops, super light malt bill doesn't get in the way, lets the hops shine.

Great for disc golf, this is a cruoooshable beer. Love it in 15 packs, great hot weather stuff, although its always just a great lawnmower beer that is hopped like an ipa.

Bought a 15 pack from Wegmans on 11/22/15. Served refrigerated in a Duvel tulip.

Look: hazy honeyed amber, frothy white head, not much lacing.

Smell: gentle blend of tropical fruit and pine

Taste: slender malt ribbon supports a mentholated hoppiness.

Feel: thinnish but that's fine considering the abv

Overall: well done for what it is

Can dated 10/14/15 into a Spiegelau IPA glass. There's plenty other session IPAs/low ABV beers I'd grab before this one, including GoTo, Fortunate Island, Hoppy Birthday, Daydream, Mini Separation Anxiety, Crush-A-Bale, Ponto, Pinner, Gravity Check, etc. Like the 15pk format, and very favorably priced.

Lime on the nose
Very citrusy
Note as bitter as most IPAs I have had. Dry finish with a light mouth feel. This seems like the perfect ipa to have on a summer day

S - fruity and hoppy
T - fruity with slight hoppy bitter after taste
F - smooth with hint of carbonation at the end to give it a kick
O - I'm new to ipa's but this is the best I've had so far.

Poured from a can into a nonic glass. Pale yellow in color. Very pleasant floral smell. The hop bitterness was just about right for my taste. Overall a very good beer and one of my top choices for a session IPA.

Pale straw, not much volume to its white head, and the little that is produced doesn't stick around- which doesn't matter much, considering I usually drink this one straight from the can. Smells is pungent, lots of tropical citrus, followed by dank earthiness, with a hint of pine. Flavor, too, is citrus based, lively, grapefruit and tangerine, pine finish, some malt thrown in throughout, with bitterness prevailing at the end. Very, very flavorful. Overly carbonated to the point of being like soda, but light bodied and easy drinking- perfect for a session beer.
This is a great idea- very solid IPA sold in lightweight can 15-packs for a reasonable price. Elegant brilliance. As for the beer itself, the emphasis on the fruit is to my liking, but varied and with enough pine and malt to be a balanced multi-note beer. Refreshing to the maximum, quaffable, tasty, and affordable. Sign me up.

Canned 08/10/15

Pours yellow-gold with a white head. Smells of sweet lemon and grassy hops. Tastes like mild lemon with strong grassy hop notes. The hops are more assertive than the base flavor, which is pretty tamed. Still not lacking in the flavor department. For a 4.7% session ale it is pretty pungent and strong tasting, mostly from the bitter hops. It goes down easy and remains lively on the tongue with high carbonation. Overall a good session IPA. It has an assertive hop profile with big herbal, grassy, pine, and light lemon citrus flavors.

A - Pale body with a decent white head leaves medium lacing.
S - It's all there. Heavy hop punch, citrus, pine, floral.
T - Certainly tastes like a full IPA. Ends abruptly and this is why it's a session.
M - Light body, light carb. This is where you're reminded this is a session ale.
O - One of the best session ales out there.

From a can at South Branch Tavern in Chicago. No head to speak of. Smells great, like a grapefruit pine forest. Very fizzy. Hold your nose and it tastes like soda water. A good might session beer.

Good head over an Amber body.
This has only moderate strength aroma but a strong hoppy flavor.
Hoppy aroma with an earthy-herbal-grapefruit flavor.

This low-ABV IPA is a very slightly hazy, slightly sparkling deep gold beer; its brief-lived, giant pebbly ivory-colored head leaves very sparse streaks of lacing. The nose is big: a nice, balanced blend of citrus, pine and florals. On the palate it starts as bitter, sour grapefruit, joined mid-palate by the pine and the florals. There is really no malt presence to speak of, and it is quite dry as far as sweetness goes. The finish is piney florals, followed by the onset of a style-moderate clinging hop bitterness that lingers for a few minutes. The mouthfeel is biggish for the light-medium body- this is one session IPA that is not watery- and the texture is moderately creamy. The carbonation is fairly soft and does not really make itself known. Altogether, this is a very drinkable beer. (12 oz can, 59 days after pkg.)

This beer is the perfect halfway point between a super heady IPA and your run of the mill macro. Picked up a 15 pack of cans for the fridge. I have had straight from the can and poured into the Sam Adams perfect pint glass. Solid either way.

I don't expect this beer will win awards but that shouldn't stop you from trying it.

Look: A hazy, medium amber, like a dried magnolia leaf. Tons of bubbles, some flying upwards to slam into a fat, puffy white head, others swirling throughout the glass like lively fish in a tank.

Smell: A metallic tinge manages not to upset bright citrus aromas--fresh orange with a splash of lemon and a squeeze of lime. Malty underlayers are detected through a light scent of fresh grain.

Taste: The overall flavor profile is light enough to live up to the beer's sessionable reputation, yet complex enough to provide quality interest. Lightly toasted malt assuages the medium high bitterness created by an artfully balanced hop combination--earthy herbs and oranges (peels and all) meet the gold standard.

Mouthfeel: Perfect for a session IPA--medium light body, with lots of carbonation. The finish paints a stripe of dryness down each side of the tongue, but otherwise remains smooth.

Overall: It may be a session beer, but it's also unabashed about being an IPA: while not alarming, the fresh hops provide a good amount of bitterness. It's hardly an explosion of flavor, but it's not meant to be one. My one objective complaint would be the metallic character in the aroma. Subjectively, I would be happier with less earth and malt, i.e., a brighter taste, but I do believe the darker, more mellow flavor a provide a unique, appreciable roundness.
