look: 3.5 | smell: 3.5 | taste: 3.75 | feel: 4.25 | overall: 3.5

LOOK: Clear Golden Color, Minimal 1/4 head that Dissipates Quickly, Moderate Lacing that remains Through-Out the Pint.

SMELL: Mild Scents of Citrus, Malt, and Hops, Hint of Lemon and Grapefruit, Nothing Over-Powering

TASTE: Smooth, Faint Malt & Lemon Citrus Flavor, Minimal Hoppiness and Bitterness,

FEEL: Refreshing, Good Amount of Carbonation, Faint Dryness on the Swallow

OVERALL: NOTHING about this IPA jumps out at you...EVERY Part of the Experience is "OK" but never GREAT......Would make for a Good "Session Ale" if you were planning on having 4 or 5. but If you are looking for a SPECIAL beer or a "UNIQUE Drinking Experience"...this would NOT be it. (663 characters)

yum yummy yum. better than most IPAs and all the flavor of the hard hitting Higher ABV ales.
pairs wildly with pizza ala pepperoni.

the price is nice. i like and you will like too, if you prefer India Pale Ales. Take comfort! (231 characters)

look: 3.75 | smell: 4 | taste: 4 | feel: 3.75 | overall: 4

A - Nice, clear orange-amber color, with a moderate white head, quick to fade, and some lacing.

S - A traditional IPA nose of grass, pine, and citrus.

T - Follows the nose, with lemon and orange, and a sweet malt element of burnt sugars and a bit of cracker in the background, fading to a mild bittering line that lasts.

M - The bitterness is moderate, but it sticks around. Some drying, but nothing too aggressive.

O - This is a good IPA that happens to be sessionable. That is rare in the session IPA sphere. Add to it that All Day is a reasonably priced offering from Founders, and you get a rock solid brew. (618 characters)

All Day pours a light gold/hay/amber color with very little head. The nose has a nice balance of floral and pine hop aromas matched by a light, crisp mouthfeel. This beer is super balanced and sessionable, perfect for spending a summer day outside. (248 characters)

Changing my rating from 4 to 2.75. All was well with this one until I bought a case of it in cans. Pretty sure ive had it in both can and bottle. Hoppy seltzer water is the best way to describe it. Stones Go To and Free Will Lower Case IPAs are better examples of 'session IPAs' in my opinion. (293 characters)

It's the one of the few IPAs that I can drink honestly, everyday. Drinkable, super drinkable. Loads of flavor, lots of citrus little pine. Amarillo and Centennial hops, they are the ticket (193 characters)

This is a very drinkable beer. It is the light version of Founder's Centennial. It has a light hoppy presence, just enough to keep it interesting. There is also some malt behind. This beer is just not outstanding in any way, however with its lower alcohol content that you can drink all day.... (298 characters)

Fizzy. A bit stringent. Does taste like an IPA. Hate to be harsh, but a really boring beer. Bought a case (in cans) but I cant drink more than one at a time. Def not an all day brew for m.e (193 characters)

On tap at Murphy's in Sunnyside, NY. Drank 10.3.14.

This is my first foray into the Session IPA style, and the following review should reflect that. I recognize that the style it meant to be a lighter, lower ABV, more drinkable IPA... so lets see what we've got.

A: Pours a very light, clear amber, leaning heavily towards golden coloring, capped with one and half fingers of fluffy pure white head. The head is slow settling, and retains its fluff until its gone. Visually it struck me as a tame pale ale with a perkier head.

S: Complete and total surprise. Would not have thought that a 4.7% ABV IPA could pack this kind of aroma. Lots of hops, grapefruit, tart tangerine, apricot, pineapple. Tart and juicy with very little malt. Not as complex, or rich as bigger hop bomb beers, but given the desired nature of this beer it is quite impressive.

T: And now I understand the style. The taste just can't keep up with the aroma. Yes, you get the bright hops, subtle caramel from the malt, and an acidic tinge of citrus... but its all very... light. And after following up on the style, that seems to be the point.

M: Light, dry, lots of carbonation bouncing all over the tongue. Absolutely effortless to drink. I was quickly finding myself needing another just minutes after sitting down.

O: Centennial Light. The "lets do some day drinking" beer for the IPA fan. Would I drink it again? Sure. Will I ever set out to drink it again? Nope. I would rather just get a case of Centennial and pace myself. (1,508 characters)

When fresh and out of a can, this beer is addictive. The can is empty before I know it. I truly love it when it's on point. The problem is that you never know if it will be great or mediocre til you buy it. (206 characters)

Got this at a local college bar. Here goes:

A: Very good. Orange-yellow with a massive head that leaves adequate lacing. Clear to boot.

S: Nice and robust. A citrus backbone complimented by tropical smells such as pineapple and mango. Grassy notes as well.

T: Disappointing. Not as robust as the smell. Taste follows the nose, except that it's very, very light and watery.

M: Light, watery and no carbonation. Kind of a disappointment.

O: OK, just nothing to write home about. Stone's session IPA - Go-To IPA - is far, far better. The latter has a similar but much more robust taste. It also has a ton of carbonation that mitigates the light mouthfeel. Not so with this beer. (697 characters)

Never poured it out of the can. Smells super piney. Tastes just the same. Just a touch of bitter. So easy to drink. Exactly what it says it is. I could drink these all day at the beach. I might even be able to talk some of my cheap beer drinking friends to try this. Wow an IPA that is not over the top and is ok with itself. (325 characters)

look: 3.5 | smell: 3.75 | taste: 4 | feel: 3.75 | overall: 4

Appearance: Pours amber with 1/2 finger of aff white foam that reduces to a frothy thin layer in just a few minutes. Clear with very few bubbles.

Aroma: Big full nose of pine and pine wood.

Taste: Piney, citrusy, woody.

Mouth Feel: Medium ligh to medium bodied with a slick feel. Lasting finish that is bitter but not harsh.

Overall: Very refreshing likable easy drinking beer. (384 characters)

Bottled on date of 05/31/14

Appearance - Pours clear with a golden orange hue and a white head that peaks at a half finger's worth of height. Sub-par retention leads to a broken layer of surface suds. Lacing is small and spotty with decent stick.

Smell - Bright citrus and some bready sweetness. Light peppery spice.

Taste - Follows the nose. Bright citrus notes in the form of orange and hints of lemon. Light black pepper spice bite. Hints of pine. Finishes lightly bitter.

Mouthfeel - Light in body with moderate carbonation. Super smooth delivery and finish.

Overall - A good session IPA, but does little to stand out from the rest of the pack. All seem to have bright citrus notes and not much else. If you're a West Coaster that can't get this, try Stone or Lagunitas Session IPAs to get a good sense for this one. (826 characters)

I could drink a million of these at a baseball game. I mean for a 4.7abv beer its going to be watery. I find nothing wrong with this brew. This reminds me of Victory’s Headwaters, but the aroma is slightly better though. Citrus, resin, herbal tea, can’t go wrong. Perfect summer beer. Recommended. (301 characters)

This is much less flavorful than many other IPAs, and I do understand this is necessary to achieve a "session" ale. Average score is similar to Laguinitas IPA, but to me there is no comparison. Because of this, I am unable to give this a higher rating unless this beer were moved to a different category. (306 characters)

Appearance:
Amber-gold color, hazy. Lots of fine bubbles rising. Thick rocky head.

Aroma:
Piney, resin, citrus, some sweetness from the malts.

Taste/Finish/Body:
Hop forward, piney, resin, citrus, leafy. There some malt character, grainy and a bit caramel. Finish is crisp and dry. Body is medium-light, dry, crisp and refreshing.

Overall:
It's a very good beer. Highly drinkable. (389 characters)

Im not big in to the session ipa trend. Id rather have something bolder, but with that being said this is by far the best session ipa I've ever had. So much hop flavor packed into that 4.7% abc. Great job founders! (214 characters)

12oz can poured into a snifter 9/4/2014. Have had this multiple times, not sure why I never got around to reviewing this.

A- Slightly hazy medium golden body, one finger white head with good retention time and plenty of rings of lacing. [3.75]

S- A slight touch of grainy malt, plenty of piney, leafy and a bit of citrus hop aromas though. For the most part this is pretty dang hoppy, with as little malt as they can get away with. [3.75]

F- Pine, resin, a bit of grapefruit, tangerines and a little bit of caramel. This is noticeably light on the malt backbone, which is of course the whole point behind this beer. Plenty of hops to be found here. [3.75]

M- Medium in body, not noticeably thinner than any other standard IPAs. This is Founders' biggest achievement here, to be honest- a 4.7% IPA that isn't thin at all with plenty of hop aromas. [4]

O- One of the better session IPAs out there; this is very good with plenty of hops for the hophead that can be consumed in as large quantities as you want at its 4.7% ABV. [4]

Final score: 3.825 (1,051 characters)

A -light gold with a 1-1.5 finger head.

S - lots of citrus hops. a little orange zest, slight pineapple. And a nice pine aroma.

T - A very hop dominated beer. With a slight malty sweetness. The citrus hops power through and make this beer much more bitter than you'd expect a beer of this abv to be.

M - fairly dry. Light bitterness. Overall very smooth.

O - Very drinkable, my go to for outings can't beat that 15/pk.

Served cool from 355ml bottle with best by date 18/04/15 into straight pint glass.

A) Pours deep amber colour. Quite a lot of bubbles, thin white head. Haziness is a bit off putting.

S) Really good. Exotic fruit cocktail and hints of honey. A great-smelling beer!

T) Fruity hops with slightly bitter aftertaste. Malt kicks in some time after the gulp.

M) Nicely fizzy, lager-esque. No bad thing to me.

O) A great alternative to the stronger IPAs if you want to chug a few down, which is exactly what it is designed for I suppose. Recommended. (554 characters)

A - Gold with a white 1 finger head. Ultra clear. 4/5

S - Very hopped and piney. Ever so slight hint of sweet malts. Grassy. 4.25/5

T - Somewhat sweet malt right off the bat. Piney/resin finish. Taste is dominated by hops. The malt is somewhat hard to find even with it being the first flavor to hit me. 3.75/5

M - Very light body and crisp. Fairly dry. Finishes very clean with a slight bitter aftertaste.

O - Very light and drinkable IPA. Definitely a session IPA. Doesn't sacrifice flavor for drinkability. 4/5 (532 characters)

Drank this one straight from the can, had it last year and rated but never reviewed. Nice to know the score I gave it then is the same I'd still give it since I didn't remember rating it. Didn't notice the color since it came from the can, but aroma was citrus and pine. Taste followed the aroma closely, sweet grapefruit, nice malt presence and not a lot of pine bitterness. Big and bold for a session IPA. (407 characters)

Slightly cloudy and Golden color when poured. Smell of apricots/cloves(?) is present. Taste like fruit beer beer, but has a little kick to it when swallowed. I can see drinking this beer at a BBQ or when your outside by the lake relaxing.

Very happy I made this purchase. (272 characters)

I went with very good across the board even though I dumped mine after 3 drinks. I try to stay committed to rating to style instead of personal taste, and I don't care for this style at all, so it must be good.

Very clear, light bodied. Tons of pine and hops. It smelled like fresh cut grass or weeds to me. Tasted like the nose indicated. The low abv is very evident. If you are looking for a hoppy session to drink "all day", this would certainly fit the bill. I will stick to DIPAs (486 characters)
