On-tap at Founders. Last beer of the night.
Pours a cloudy pale gold with white head. Lots of nice lacing.
Smell is somewhat muted at first but starts to open up as it warms. Nice slightly sweet apricot presence mixed with sour wheat. Reminds me a bit of Bells Oarsman with apricots.
First thought is HOLY APRICOTS! Upfront taste is sweet apricot fruitiness ... kind of like slightly soured and less sweet apricot fruit-cup juice. Increased sourness at the finish with a similar apricot flavor and some wheaty malt. Lingering moderate sourness.
Medium body with slightly high carbonation.
Very enjoyable. Nice balance of sour and sweetness. Apricots represented well without becoming overpowering.

On tap at Founders. Poured into a snifter.
The pour yields a brew that is a very hazy apricot color with a decent white head and some good lacing on the way down. The nose is really heavy handed on the apricot color with a bit of mild grain in the background. The taste is overwhelming-sweet to start, though it's balanced by some grain and fruit as it warms up. Heavy apricot character. In the end, however, the sweetness proves too much as this is almost cloying. Body is medium with lighter levels of carbonation. Not too bad; could work with less residual sweetness and a body that was a bit lighter.

The brew was poured at the brewery and came out as a yellow orange color with a good opacity to it. The beer has a decent thin lacy head, this beer has so much apricot coming off of it, it has a sweet fruity aroma with a little bit of sourness on the nose. The Taste was pretty awesome I thought. It was a tart and sweet flavor at the same time. The mouthfeel was oily & creamy. The beer overall to me is exactly what a fruit beer should taste like. It was just really nicely done in my opinion. Hopefully others will enjoy this brew as well.
