A - 4.5 - Black with a very nice, thick, textured, enduring tan head.
S - 3.75 - Light coffee + a little roasty malt.
T - 3.75 - It has a less robust taste and mouthfeel than the aroma suggests. Moderately roasty malt. Somewhat bitter coffee. Just barely metallic. The moderately bitter coffee note lingers afterwards, almost on the edge of chocolate.
M - 3.5 - Lighter bodied than expected. South of medium. This makes it pretty drinkable but also
O - 4.0 - It's a nice beer and well made. Porters have never quite popped for me, and it's hard to see how this one gets such acclaim. Quality and craftsmanship, I definitely see. Outstandingness, not so much. Maybe it's a limitation of the style from my perspective. It just comes across as something that wishes it were a stout.
