A: Very dark brown with very little head and alomst no lacing
S: Like a roasty/burnt chocolate with a bit of coffee
T: It's a light dark beer. Pretty good, has an initial hop taste to it quickly followed by a burnt chocolate kind of taste, and leaves a nice chocolaty taste on the tongue. One of the best aftertastes of any beer. It's a light dark beer.
M: Much lighter then I expected

This is really an imperial stout in disguise. It is very cream and rich. Balance is perfect. Other than having a low ABV, there really I'd no bad sideto this brew. I have to keep going as I dont have enough words yet. I hope that does it! Nope a few more

A: very dark brown... tall 1" head on pour, coffee brown color... hardly any lace, but a steady outer collar till the end

S: bold roasted barley, very hoppy - pine, woody... perhaps some faint dark coffee and a hint of medicinal alcohol.... as it warms, more soapy-floral and light peppercorn aromas emerge.... all-around bold aromas

T: heavy bitter dark chocolate and dark-roast coffee up front - long-lasting through the finish... good bit of a mid-range crystal malt presence, but not terribly sweet.... after a bit, all that's there is a dominant bittersweet-ish dark chocolate flavor and aggressive roast/hoppy bitterness, and it's pretty great!

M: lightly grainy-frothy but smooth with some "legs" on the follow-through.... mild residual stickiness... little bit of alcohol warmth?.... most of it stays up front - vanishing-dry finish

O: one could argue this is a stout.... all about strong bitterness via roasted barley and hops - not shy.... assaults the palate with finely-balanced tastiness
