a clean bubbly golden yellow pour with 2 fingers of white head which is surprisingly dissipating slowly. usually, the acids in hot peppers eat away at the head from my experience drinking/brewing with them. i'm not getting much in the aroma... to be generic, it smells like a tripel.. sweet bready scents, some honey sweetness. not getting any mango/habanero aroma at all. ok, so the flavor is a bit different, the mango is very subtle - the sweet fruityness is there, but its presence is in the background. there is somewhat of a sweet bready malt flavor mixed in with the fruit, and then all of a sudden your throat starts feeling the habanero. it's spicy, but not as rough as i was expecting (which is a good thing). the aftertaste, well, it reminds me of the hour after the time i tried the seppukku wing sauce at buffalo cantina, where i washed it down with maybe 4 tecates and the burning "bite" was still on my lips.. so yeah, a very bready aftertaste with a spicy bite.
this one is medium body, with moderate amount of carbonation, and well.. you guessed it.. a very spicy mouthfeel.
overall, this was nice to try, and not too much of a hit on the wallet, but i wouldn't seek out another bottle. i really do wish founders would start sending us more than a case per store (the lucky stores that even get it), so we wouldn't go nuts trying to find these bombers.

A- pours a clear and golden color with a small fizzy white head that retains shortly, eventually leaving a few patches floating on top, no lace but alcohol legs sticking around the glass
S- fresh sweet mango up front with notes of melon, ripe strawberry, formal notes. A slight burning sensation on the nostrils after a strong inhale, lingers of sweet malt at the end
T- sweet but subtle mango flavors mix with strawberry and a floral sweetness. Wow, this has a big heat kick! It immediately kicks in mid-palate and stays long into the finish and linger. The pepper flavor itself is barely detectable, but the heat is definitely there
M- medium body with low carbonation leads to a foamy mouthfeel and a big pepper burn on the palate that lingers long after. ABV is hidden well behind the heat of the pepper
O- one of the hottest pepper beers that I've tried, it paired nicely with cheese. Only downside is that the heat overpowers the sweetness of the mango somewhat. Food pairings, particularly dairy, work well with this one

750 ml bottle into snifter, bottled in 8/2013. Pours lightly hazy/cloudy deep golden amber color with a 2 finger dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of mango, peach, pear, apple, honey, bread, light pepper, and herbal earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of mango, malt sweetness, and light pepper notes; with solid strength. Taste of big mango, peach, pear, apple, habanero pepper, honey, bread, and herbal earthiness. Good amount of habanero pepper spice/heat on the finish; with lingering notes of mango, peach, pear, apple, habanero pepper spice, honey, bread, and herbal earthiness on the finish for a while. Very nice balance of mango/malt sweetness and habanero pepper spice flavors; with no cloying sweetness or pepper spice after the finish; but a good amount of heat does linger. Light-medium carbonation and fairly full bodied; with a moderately slick, smooth, and lightly syrupy mouthfeel that is good. Alcohol is well hidden with only a small warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very good spiced fruit beer. Good balance of mango, sweet malt, and habanero pepper flavors; and quite smooth to sip on for the the ABV. A nicely enjoyable offering.
