Firkin version at Barley's 6th Annual Mini RAF (04/26/08): The beer is a mostly clear dark amber color with a medium thin beige head that dissipates steadily. Patchy lacing on the glass. Aroma of caramel malt and hops. Medium-bodied with flavors of malt, nuts and caramel along with a touch of hops. The finish is malty with a light hops aftertaste. Fairly run-of-the-mill overall.

Served in a 5 oz. sample at Harvard's. The color was golden, with a nice wisp of head. The smell was a slight hop. The taste was very light hoppiness. Mouthfeel was light. Drinkability-wise, I probably wouldn't want another.
Just a bland, uninviting ESB without much going for it. Could have been a lot more strong and inviting. As it is, though, I wouldn't have another.
