Light maroon/reddish brass color with a thin layer of carbonation. Left a little bit of lacing, but not all that much. Nose was quite nutty with a good backup of hops. Malts were lingering in the background to fufill the balance. Taste starts out rather dry on the palate. Malts, hops, and nutty flavors all just blend in and the last the entire time. Finishes quite dry. Light to medium in texture. A good beer to end the evening with. I regret not getting a pre-filled growler of this stuff.

Poured a lovely, cloudy, orange-brown color, with a thick, chunky white head. Nice lacing around the glass as well. Aroma was somehwat sweet, with notes of bread and an earthy quality.

The taste was very balanced, slightly sweet fruits up front, followed by a subtle hop bitterness. Slightly dry finish, but the beer had a distinct "refreshing" feel to it. Mouthfeel was a bit thin, not bad overall. This is a great altbier from John Harvard's. A very enjoyable and sessionable brew.
