This beer poured a murky red body with a nice off white head

Nose is very hoppy w subtle stout notes.

Taste is med bodied w an immediate hop bitterness. First impression is that it really rides a fine line between ipa, red and subtle stout. Roasted dark malts and caramel dominate the malt base while loads of citrus and earthy hops flow though. Ends w a nice bitterness.

This is a damn good beer. A perfect middle ground between red and strout. Very nice.

Had in the sampler, and I guess its unique to the Framingham location. A deep mahogany appearance with thick lacing on the sides gave this a beautiful appearance. Spiced bread aromas permeating from the drink were pretty enticing and unique. I emailed the location and I guess what makes it unique is its cross between a red ale and a stout. You can definitely sense that uniqueness in the smell. Taste-wise, a dull bittersweetness made it pretty average. On the other hand the body was completely dull, lacking a strong mouthfeel I thought it could have. Overall, a little imbalanced but worth checking out if your in Framingham.
