What else can I add? The place and its people are amazingly welcoming. Though Chris is out of town, and Jen taking the night off, we were extremely well taken care of. The food was excellent and the service and hospitality outstanding. There were about 30 taps, mostly Belgian, and many I was unfamiliar with. I had a Het Kapittel Abt first, called a quad on the menu. It was wonderful. Hannah and Frank brought us samples of various beers unprovoked. They both seem to have some passion for sours, which I don't, but tha's fine. A sign inside says they have 800 beers. I don't think there were that many on the menu, but who cares? They've got alot of beer. Though I give a deserved 5 for selection, the American craft section is modest. But it is made up for with Belgians. Frank, the cook and apparently Chris' protege, lead our cellar tour, which included samples of Sturise/Mikkeller double IPA and Struise Pannepot unspiced version. Yum. The Black Albert was especially tasty as well, and on tap.
A big thank you to Frank and Hannah and all the crew at Ebenezer's. I look forward to a return visit sometime. It may be helpful to know that they have a relationship with an Inn nearby where Ebenezer's will give you a ride home, and the Inn will bring you back for your car in the morning. The Inn is very nice, but maybe a bit pricey for college student type budget. But being so far out in rural Maine, you likely have to stay somewhere.
