Cheers to my friend Stuart for the beer and to Jim for the "mule"ing. Poured into an Imperial pint glass, what else? Pours a medium clear gold with a frothy head that settles down to a thin dense layer of slightly off white. Smell is sour mash with a grassy note. Taste is bready, almost buttery, with a slightly hoppy finish, nothing too aggresive. That great bread quality makes this seem like a good session beer, one that would leave you satisfied. The aftertaste is slightly roasted and dry. Mouthfeel is soft and slightly carbonated. Overall, I like this one. It seems true to style but has a slightly more substantial, less sharp quality to it than some others I've had. Just like I like my women, substantial, less sharp, and naked.

Served via cask dispense into a UK pint glass at the Fox, Twickenham, Feb '12.

Pours a clear golden colour with a small white frothy head.

The aroma is of mild hops with a touch of citrus and pine in the background.

On the palate, a bitter tasting beer with citrus fruit coming across, a little orange, lemon and perhaps grapefruit and also a grassy flavour.

Mouthfeel was a little watery for my liking but finished with a good bitter dry taste.

An OK beer, would re-visit no qualms, but there are better beers out there!

Cask ale. Webb Ellis pub, Twickenham, London

App...light orange/yellow colour. Tiny white head not lasting.
Aroma... citrus, herb and fruits with notes of hopes
Taste...herbal, grass and a little bit of roast with a bitter finish.
Mouthfeel...refreshing in mouth, medium body with low carbonation.
Long lasting in mouth
Overall...well balanced, with personality, bitterness appears at the right time and continues in mouth. To revisit.
