Outstanding hoppy golden ale using Herkules, Celeia and Chinook hops for a glorious full flavour. Inspired by the statues of water nymphs in York House Gardens in Twickenham, known locally as the ‘Naked Ladies’.

Pulled from the cask at Hope Smithfield pub right behind London's Farringdon station. Always a pleasure to have the real thing from a brewer less than ten miles away.
While Looks are no big deal Smells are almost entirely malt, Tastes are what I expected from a well-crafted English Bitter: malt wanting to be like fruit and balanced with just enough hops. As for how it Feels in my mouth, one word is enough; but you have to repeat "soft" three times. It is not just the cask; these guys are pros.
Having said that, I went on Twickenham's website and it turns out they open up their brewery for fans of the local rugby team on home games so they can roam around the tanks as a warmup for the competition. Despite this risk, Twickenham Fine Ales has made it to their tenth birthday. That is an accomplishment that deserves some PA hugs.

L - Dark gold/mid-amber. Pours with thin white head that soon clears to lacing.
S - Decent clear malty grains.
T - More striking than anticipated, decent hoppiness on the front, with body following afterwards
F - It's more satisfying that I was expecting for a 4.4%, It's certainly refreshing. It could be ideal for drinkers who want something with decent presence/hoppiness without a higher ABV%. It's very balanced and sessionable.
O - I think it's an accomplaished beer considering the limitations that can come from such an ABV%. I would buy this again.

Cheers to my friend Stuart for the beer and to Jim for the "mule"ing. Poured into an Imperial pint glass, what else? Pours a medium clear gold with a frothy head that settles down to a thin dense layer of slightly off white. Smell is sour mash with a grassy note. Taste is bready, almost buttery, with a slightly hoppy finish, nothing too aggresive. That great bread quality makes this seem like a good session beer, one that would leave you satisfied. The aftertaste is slightly roasted and dry. Mouthfeel is soft and slightly carbonated. Overall, I like this one. It seems true to style but has a slightly more substantial, less sharp quality to it than some others I've had. Just like I like my women, substantial, less sharp, and naked.

Cask ale. Webb Ellis pub, Twickenham, London
App...light orange/yellow colour. Tiny white head not lasting.
Aroma... citrus, herb and fruits with notes of hopes
Taste...herbal, grass and a little bit of roast with a bitter finish.
Mouthfeel...refreshing in mouth, medium body with low carbonation.
Long lasting in mouth
Overall...well balanced, with personality, bitterness appears at the right time and continues in mouth. To revisit.

Served via cask dispense into a UK pint glass at the Fox, Twickenham, Feb '12.
Pours a clear golden colour with a small white frothy head.
The aroma is of mild hops with a touch of citrus and pine in the background.
On the palate, a bitter tasting beer with citrus fruit coming across, a little orange, lemon and perhaps grapefruit and also a grassy flavour.
Mouthfeel was a little watery for my liking but finished with a good bitter dry taste.
An OK beer, would re-visit no qualms, but there are better beers out there!
