500ml bottle:
Pale amber with a half cm, foamy white head. Nose & taste are both dominated by ginger & spice with some faint honey flavours & some pale lager malts with the taste. Well carbonated & lively with some background spice.

500 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 3.8%. Brewed without any hops at all, but with substantial amounts of root ginger. Golden colour, pours quite fizzy, moderate to low head. Aroma of ginger and citrus. The flavour has a distinct ginger burn from start to finish. Definitely not your usual beer, but nice for a change of pace. Feels much stronger than its moderate ABV.

The color is a nice and clear amber becoming paler when poured into the glass. The nose has no hints of yeast or barley, but a lot of ginger; there are also some hints of honey, flowers, and apple. First tastes a little sweet and then hits you with ginger, tingling your palate and throat. Light carbonation compliments it nicely while oily body soothes your mouth afterward. The absence of distinct aftertaste leaves you perplexed and disappointed.

16.9 oz. bottle poured into a Burley Oak snifter (best before 11/13)
A: A hazy and grayish straw color with only a collar, no lacing and no head.
S: Just Ginger!
T: Very light with very little flavor. I love ginger and the spicier the better, so I am always on the lookout for any new ginger beers, especially alcoholic ginger beers. Watery with just a stale ginger flavor and only a hint of that characteristic ginger spice on the backend. I realize this brew is old, but I don't see it tasting much better. This is like the pale ale version of a ginger beer.
M: Prickly and bubbly.
O: Give me a Crabbie's over this, where the ginger is stronger.
