Pint @ Inn Deep, Glasgow (£3.20):
Deep black colour with a thin, off-white and foamy head that leaves some lacing on the sides.
Roasted malts and some mild coffee notes with a touch of caramel. There is some background sweetness and a solid, medium strength stout aroma to the beer. Nothing out of character but a pleasant smell beer with hints of chocolate too.
Sweet, roasted malts to begin with as well as some darker caramel flavouring and again a nice, mild stout taste that goes down well. There is some burnt coffee too.
Smooth and creamy one with a medium body and a slightly sweet mouthfeel. Carbonation was about medium and the balance was a good one.
A nice stout that went down well, had a solid stout taste and a nice creamy feel to it. There wasn't much out of the ordinary as far as stouts go but the flavours were well balanced and it proved an easy beer to drink.
Serving type: nitro-tap
