The store has a lot of organic foods and the beer section is unique. There is a long refridgerated aisle for their beers and has no selection of room temperature beers..
The staff is always walking around if one needs help.
This particular Whole Foods has a better selection than most. More beers and more unique or hard to find beers such as Temptation, Uerige, Eisbock, St. Bernard 8, and others.
The value is somewhat pricey and one has to be careful with a bottled six pack that is refridgerated. Alcohol abuse, such as a quality beer falling out of the pack due to moisture build up over time.

I'm fortunate enough to live just down the street from this Whole Foods. The beer selection amongst other Whole Foods is above average. I get my St. Bernardus 12 from here as well as my DFH 750's. This was the place where I scored all of my Bitches Brew. The beer guy is hella cool. I don't know his name but he is very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. They also have select beers on sale from week to week, which is a huge plus. This Whole Foods is always busy, so parking and traffic are a bit of a pain. Overall, great place for beer on the Peninsula.

I have to say I make it to this whole foods atleast 3 times a week to grab lunch. Probably the best part of my day because I get to cruise the beer cooler to see whats new. The beer buyer (forgot his name) is awesome, always down to chat it up about what just came in, whats coming in, or whats good that he has recently tried. This whole foods wont have the best selection of beer by any means, but a great selection for a supermarket. Prices are reasonable for most, but overall probably a dollar or two higher for 6 packs. This can be a great place to find a gem sitting on the shelf as not too many people think of it as a great beer stop. The only thing I cant get over is that they dont see any russian river distribution here!

Stopped in here a few days before Christmas and the place was packed. I wandered around the store for awhile just because, but I was mostly there for the beer.
The beer selection is off toward the left side of the store after you walk in the main doors. They've got a pretty good selection and had some of the new releases that had hit the area like Abyss and Bourbon Old Stock as well as a lot of local favorites like Pliny and Blind Pig.
It's not terribly different from other Whole Foods stores, but this one definitely does have one of the better beer selections (unlike the one in San Mateo, for instance). Good service as usual and plenty else to shop for and look at if you're so inclined.
As always with Whole Foods, a lot of things in the store are really pricey, but the beer is actually very reasonably priced with even a few things being a bit cheaper than you might see elsewhere.

I've been to many Whole Foods stores in the Bay Area to look at their beer selection, and this is one of the better ones.
They come close in selection to the Whole Foods in Los Altos, although I'd give Los Altos a slight edge.
They carry an impressive selection of all kinds of beer, all kept cool in a very large refrigerator. They allow you to break up six packs if you just want to try a single bottle, which is very nice; something Bevmo won't let you do.
Beer prices, like at all Whole Foods stores, are very reasonable, and among the lowest I've seen for quality beer.
Definitely a great local beer store. If you're in Redwood City, also check out K&L Wines for harder to find top quality beer.

It was a complete accident finding this a couple weeks ago. I was looking for the auto parts store and didn't realize that they moved down the street. In any case I find this whole foods and decide to stop in.
Nice place and nice people for sure. The beer selection was very good for a grocery store. On an absolute scale its not the best source of beer I've ever seen, not by a long shot, but for a local grocery store its really nice.
I bought their last bottle of the Abyss off the shelf and also found some Lozenboer and a few other rare ones that I've only got to try once before. Didnt buy any food but I noticed that the prices are etremely high here. The beer was priced about the same as everyone else.I was in the express lane and the lady in front of me paid for her 10 items or less and got a bill of $165!
The service was good. Even though the people at the front didn't know anything about beer, they got someone right away that did. Nice place and well kept. If the summer gets as hot as it did last year I might just have to post up in the beer isle with my lawn chair.

This is where I buy a lot of my beer from, and the selection is generally quite good. They've always got a good variety of California micros in stock, including several brews from Bear Republic, North Coast, Mad River and the like. You'll also find a solid selection of Belgians, with the occasional rare bottle showing up. This is one of the few places in the area that I've seen with a large supply of the St. Bernardus 60th Anniversary Edition Abt 12 or Allagash's Interlude. Everything is kept cold, so you rarely have to worry about getting spoiled product. Prices are generally pretty standard, and they frequently have sales on great stuff. In all, definitely one of the better beer sections I've seen at a grocery store.

A better selection than many Whole Food markets. Nothing really hard to find, but very solid selection with California decently represented, Germany and Belgian brews also well stocked. No real service- this is a grocery store and the liklihood of getting anyone who knows anything is slim. Not your place for seasonals or especially hard to find items, but solid nonetheless. Some beers are represented better than others. For instance, their was only one Moylans and Marin, but multiple Lagunitas. A couple of hard to find Belgians round things out nicely.
