Bottle pour at the DTLA bottle share held at Beer Belly in Los Angeles, CA.

Thanks to Niklas for sharing this one.

Pours a hazy orange with a foamy off-white head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Foamy streaks of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, citrus fruit, and citrus zest aromas. Taste is much the same with citrus zest and brown sugar flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp and dry mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer with a solid citrus forward hop presence.

On tap at The Blue Monk in Buffalo, NY as part of a flight in the back garden.

Pours out a golden copper orange, with a 1.5 inch head, and really good lacing down the glass.

Smells quite grassy, with some additional grapefruit.

This is a pretty earthy IPA. Slightly dirty tasting, but still quite nice. Lots of grass and pine, but not particularly bitter or astringent. Some citrus flavors, mostly grapefruit.

Medium bodied, almost creamy mouthfeel. Low carbonation. Very drinkable.

Only at The Blue Monk could I try an IPA from Sweden. This one was pretty good.

The influence of American craft beer in Scandinavian countries continue to take hold. Citrusy hops pile upon a near balance of malt for something that's inspired by, but not completely American.

Bright copper in color, High Five! pours with zesty carbonation that nearly overtakes the glass. High rates of carbonation ensures that the hop aromatics will spring to the nose. Its slowly receding ivory foam coats the glass with lace all along the way. Mildly hazy in color, the beer simply looks like IPA, just with Belgian-esque foam.

Hop forward aromas leap from the glass in the forms of tangerine, orange peel, and red grapefruit. But not all is citrusy, as more tropical mango and papaya scents take a more mellow turn. A moderate malt presence gives the fruits a vibrant "candied" type of scent, along with bready/biscuity notes.

More balanced than most IPA, the beer doesn't allow the hops to dominate completely. Early on the palate, a caramel sweet taste projects with mild flavors of honey, biscuit, and fresh baking bread crust. Hop flavor starts fruity with the blend of tropical and citrus flavors that turn lightly resinous and then sharply bitter in finish. The culmination of hops and malt give the beer a light jammy quality.

Medium bodied, the access malts weigh in on the beer's texture as well. Creamy and rich to start, the beer's long sweet draw keeps the mouthfeel prolonged before a late finish of resinous dryness, mild alcohol warmth, and fading sweetness gives a semi-dry close.

There's the immense citrus hop character that's American, but a malt balance that seems of English pale ales. It does both with good levels of success- but those looking for drier, more hop dominant examples might look elsewhere.

Pours a nice amber with good head/lacing.

Smell is malty-marmalade. Bready.

Mouthfeel is tea-like. Hoppy, malty, ESB-like.

Taste is malty marmalade, ESB-like.

Nice beer, akin to an ESB. Nice to have a decent beer from these guys. I've been waiting a long time.

330ml bottle purchased from Slowbeer in Melbourne.

Pours a pleasantly clear orange hue, with a pretty solid yellow-white head of frothy foam. Some patchy suds of lacing stick around. Body is fluid but with some weight behind it that allows very fine carbonation to form. It looks good.

Nose is mild and slightly herbal. Some peppery spice, perhaps a slightly English overtone to it. Slight sawdust character, and a bit of dust. Slightly sweet malt comes through, with a little phenolic banana aroma. Overall, it's ok, but nothing really special.

Taste is similar. Smooth, slightly nutty malt with a dusty, earthy hop character, and a bit of herbal, leafy bite. Some pith comes through, but there's really not much true citrus character. Mild, tannic bitterness sits on the finish. Feel is pretty flat and a bit thin.

Overall, it's another disappointing IPA from Dugges, following on from the Holy Cow! There's something about it that seems a bit pedestrian about it anyway, and the fact that it seems old doesn't do it any favours.

Pours amber with orange highlights. Some white head at first but this didn't linger.

Pleasant grapefruit and pine in the nose with some floral notes.

Caramel sweetness up front with medium mouthfeel and an assertive hop background. Some cloying characters and just enough hops to keep it honest without going over the top. Bits of caramel, vanilla and bread throughout.

This was a little sweeter than I anticipated. The hops were there but lacking in the finish. Little bit of pine in the aftertaste but nothing over the top. Missing that punch. A valiant effort from the Swedes.

Pours amber with a small, white head.
Nose shows grapefruit and floral hops along with a hint of honey.
Flavours focus on the same floral and spicy hops, followed by a bit of bready and biscuit-like malt.
Body seems a bit undercarbonated.
Pretty easy-drinking stuff.

I don't know, it seems like the Dugges beers have a similar flavor profile that I'm just not that into. Poured this one at a good temperature with an average size, cream-colored, foamy head that soon settles to a light cover and some lace. Color is a clear orange amber with a few bubble trails. Aroma is caramel, malt, hop, wet carboard. Flavor's similar to nose, sweet, wet cardboard on top with the bitter and some carbonic tang below and after along with some medicinal and woody flavors. Body and carbonation might be good, but there's a lingering heavy sweetness that distracts. Finish is like flavor, too sweet, long and not that pleasant. I'll finish this beer and that's it. Too bad; nice label, for what that's worth.

Pours a hazy orange-ish color with a light tan head. In the aroma, mellow citrus to pine hops. In the taste, a dry pine hop, a bit malty, and a small alcohol presence. A small bite and a medium bodied mouthfeel, with a dry malt and a small alcohol presence in the aftertaste. Nice hops, but a bit too malty and alcoholic for an IPA, eh!
