Hit this place after slogging all over downtown Boston on the Freedom trail in 90+F heat (and humidity), and was in much need of a few cold pints. This place was recommended as one of the best selections downtown, so we took a cab strait from Old Ironsides to the pub. Outdoor seating in the shade consisted of some tall bar tables but also some comfy patio lounges and tables, which we promptly snagged. We did not eat here, I had a Smuttynose Brett & I in the proper glassware, as well as an Impy pint of Loose Cannon, while my wife had a white sangria. All reasonably priced, the beer hit the spot (actually, Brett & I was a bit of a disappointment, especially after the enthusiastic recommendation by our server) and the sangria was pretty good too. Service was fine, selection was pretty damn good for an otherwise generic looking touristy type Irish pub, mostly crafts and a few international staples. Price was probably as good as you can expect for downtown Boston, I think my Impy pint of DIPA was only $5-6. Worth checking out if your in the area and need a pint! We were there Sat. later afternoon and it wasn't particularly crowded, the outdoor patio about 2/3rds full, inside much less so. Pretty well done up inside, tons of 'authentic touches' that make it more Disneyland then Dublin I'd imagine, but cool and visibly pleasing.

I have been an off and on regular here for about 3 years. The atmosphere is very comfortable, especially in the nice weather when the windows and patio are open. It is a bit pricey for the non-beer drinks but the beers are very reasonable especially considering the selection. They do a great job of rotating each week and they've added an upcoming list so you know what is in line to get tapped. The staff is excellent and have really made me feel welcome and greet with a smile. I definitely recommend coming by for some after work drinks.
