I first had this brew while visiting family in Croatia and Bosnia in a bottle, and I thought it wasn't too terrible relative to some of the other macro brews that I had, so on with a new review from a can.

A - Pours with a bubbly white head that disappeared so quickly that I barely had a chance to observe it; orangey-yellow urine color (sorry but that's my best descriptor for it)

S - Grassy hop notes that lean toward a bit of spiciness as well, but very much in a macro lager type of way; fain whiff of fresh bisccuits, but all muted and bland

T - Eh, boring and bland. Hop notes don't carry through to the taste; some light maltiness and breadiness. That's all really

M - Thinner to medium for the style; and very slight carbonation

D - I mean I could drink this and not be too offended throughout, but a brainless Euro lager with little in the way of anything interesting

Overall, just average even against what's expected for the Pale Euro Lager range. Still, carries a bit of nostalgia for me, and feel as though I am shitting on my Serbian roots with the review, but it's all about being objective :).

Better than average world beer. Poured with a regular head and some lace. LIght golden color. Very light beery, slightly bittersweet aroma. Taste was same but more intense and complex. Also present are lemon, & grains.Decent body. This is from a can that I got from a maxi mart yesterday here in Beograd. Good clean finsih. No problem having another

light golden pilsner colour with a white head.

in the nose; hay, malt. quite light.

refreshing clean taste, with a decent sweet maltiness. kind of bready aftertaste with a minimum of hops.

very easily drinkable beer. Quite refreshing in 40+ degrees (celsius) yugoslavian climate, but maybe not the most interesting beer around ;)

I picked this one up in a gas station in eastern Bosnia Herzegovina. It comes in a tall 1/2 liter yellow can with a big antlered deer or elk below the name. It poured a clear pale yellow under 1.5 fingers of white head that fades very quickly, leaving no lace as it settles to film across the top of the liquid. There are lots of slightly off malt grains in the nose, with a hint of rice as one of them. The mouth is light and very prickly. Another plain Balkan lager, this one has a bit less malt, a bit more ear wax bitter hops. The carbonation is so harsh that it prevents the tongue from noting much flavor. Just a touch of lemon emerges as it warms, but this one isn't worth keeping around.

Golden appearance, white, average foam. Quite carbonated in appearance,
At the smell, almost nothing interesting. It is a macro lager.
Honest taste, without any strange adjunct. Quite bitter, too. Nothing to remember, but also, not undrinkable.
Some bitterness in the aftertaste.

The most popular beer in Serbia, widely available and widely publicized. Produced in Vojevodina province. Pale golden lager with malty-yeasty aroma and a decent amount of hops in the palate. Nice white crown, elaborate lace. Pleasant malty-bitter aftertaste. A complex, joyful beer. Recommended
