pours a straw to golden liquid, not very firm head
nose: fruity, tainted with some quite aggressive artifificial notes
palate: almonds, rose hip, peanuts
starts a bit bitter, then turns sweet and ends bitter again
this is a very average lager - perhaps best drunk in the country of origin or by the serbian diaspora around the world

A: The beer is crystal clear deep yellow in color and has a light amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high bright white head that died down, leaving a thin layer of bubbles covering the surface and a collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of skunk are present in the nose.
T: like the smell, the taste is skunky and has a light amount of bitterness. As the beer warms up, hints of grainy malts become noticeable.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied and a little prickly on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: I didn't have much expectations for this beer after smelling it, but fortunately the taste was slightly better than the smell.

A: Pours a crystal clear pale to medium yellow in color with some significant amounts of active visible carbonation and some light golden yellow highlights. The beer has a half finger tall bright white head that quickly reduces to a mottled thin film covering about 75% of the surface of the beer with a thicker ring at the edges of the glass. Moderate amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Light aromas of adjunct malts including some sweeter corn and grains as well as some light amounts of grassy hops. But the dominant aroma in this beer is that of skunk.
T: The overall flavor of this beer is extremely light in flavor with just some very light flavors of cereal malts with a touch of grain and corn adjunct sweetness. Very light notes of grassy hops and moderate skunky flavors. Light amounts of lingering bitterness.
M: Just heavier than light bodied with moderate to heavy amounts of carbonation.
O: The smell of this beer is all American Adjunct Lager but the taste is slightly better than the smell would indicate. This is not an excellent beer and I would not likely try it again. There is a skunkiness that I would have expected from a European beer in a green bottle but that was not the case here.

Picked up a bottle at EuroMarket out of curiosity. No surprises here though, just a clean blonde macro lager. There's a tiny bit of toast, and a little hops spice in the finish, and a slight earthy aroma. But overall this is a bland, inoffensive lager, perfect for washing down a pljeskavica. Aside from the pasteurized, industrial lager character, there's nothing to complain about. But there's also absolutely nothing to write home about either.

tried this for the first time last night at a serbian pub in sarajevo. it pours an almost artificial looking dandelion yellow color that is basically flat. i couldnt get a head on this beer for the life of me. it appears watered down and unappetizing. it smells moderately better than it looks, with some pale german malt and a conventional yeast in higher proportion than im used to. flavor isnt bad, like day old multigrain bread and mineral heavy water. it isnt delicious, but it isnt repulsive. if it was ice cold it could be a good refresher because the body is so light and the finish is clean. the mouthfeel was not nice, this beer needs much much more carbonation to be satisfying. the lack of bubbles made it quite unpleasant to drink as it warmed up. nothing special here, but for two bosnian marks for a half liter, ill probably have this again.
edit: upon revisiting this in a much colder bottle, the mouthfeel recovered substantially, with more of a head and some decent, but still deficient bubbles. im upping the rating from 2.5 to 3 for that. still not going to win any medals though...

New arrival to the market, dated euro style "01/09/12" still a few months within code. I've seen bottles dated into next year, so i'll try one to compare at a later date.
Brilliant high clarity gold, bare delicate lace in the glass. Initial half inch of foam that dwindles to a thin cirrus veil across the surface.
Smells a little musty, wet grain and possibly adjuncts.
Flavors are crisp and clean, crackery malt, light apple from the yeast, dry clean finish. Light body, fairly simple flavor, but ultimately very clean and drinkable. A good Euro lawnmower beer, will seek out a fresher bottle to sample and compare.
edit 7/12: Found a bottle dated 22/02/13 at my favorite Serbian deli... seemed pretty similar to the above notes. Seemed to have a nice collar of lacing, a wet grainy and grassy aroma with a touch of sulfur, dry crisp feel, but with a simply passable taste. A good match with some cured meats like suva govedina or kulen sausage.

500ml bottle. Best before 22/02/13.
It pours a clear gold with a foamy white head. Pretty standard.
The smell is relatively light. Light grains, light hops. A typical AAL.
The flavor is sweet and slightly soapy. A decent amount of hops but mostly pale malts. Herbal medicinal hop flavor.
Average. Not a German Pilsener btw.

a not so bad beer for the area. easy to put down if nothing else. a bit different than a traditional german pils. big malts which i like. no bite anywhere, no bitterness.
great for having after hiking around in the mountains in summer or at the beach or after the beach. wouldnt recommend buying more than one until you decide if you like it. i got it for free everynight so i thought what the hell.

I had out of a can while in Belgrade.
A. It's clear gold, with some streams of bubbles. It has a small head that dissipates quickly and only leaves a bit of lacing.
S. Mild metallic scent.
T. It tastes like a cheap American Macro beer, cheaper than a PBR. The after taste is sour. There is a bit of a lemony flavory. A slight malt taste. But to be honest, after a feel sips, it just become androgynous.
M. Sllight bit of carbonation. Leaves a sour aftertaste.
D. It's light, but has no redeeming quality to want to keep drinking.

Poured into pilsner glass from .5 L bottle
Clear, golden light lager; foamy head that dissolves rather quickly.
Light, malty smell.
Clean, slight hoppy mild mouthfeel with no aftertaste.
Nothing special, decent drinkability; a somewhat middle of the road beer for the region.

A- I was surprised after picking up yet another Euro Lager, that the head was so nice....starts out about an inch thick and fizzles out expectantly fast, but only to the point of a pillow like layer over the brew. The color is more yellow than golden, is very clear and reminds me of urine if you haven't had enough water throughout the day. There is actually some modest lacing present, fizzling out eventually to a sticky looking liquid on the glass. Carbonation is heavy looking as well.
S- Definitely doesn't smell like a German Pilsener, having lots of malt, raw grain and a lingering lemony citrus aroma in the background. I also smell very weak hops, and not of the noble variety. The overall aroma is not offensive however....no skunk spray in this one!
T- OK, this one has more of a Pils flavor than the aroma lets on, but still, there is a yeasty malt upfront that is quite noticeable. The bitterness on the finish has some decent hop profile, but there is a bit of citrus rind and also a bit of metallic astringency mixed in there...a truly unique finish! I have to note that as this warms a bit the metallic finish becomes much more noticeable....I actually think that this has a better than average flavor overall.
M- The body lies somewhere in between light and medium...somewhat watery yet with a modest creaminess! The carbonation is lower than what I was expecting which is a pleasant surprise, but it is still prevalent. Again, better than the norm...
D- I wouldn't exactly call this a German Pilsener, but rather a hybrid between it, and a typical Euro Lager. Going with this conclusion, I like this better than most beers from this region and could enjoy this without wanting to switch to anything else during any given evening...but it needs to be drunk very cold otherwise starts to taste a bit nasty. I would and will buy this again, given the opportunity. I recommend giving this one a go!

330ml bottle. After having our oh-so-provincial Canadian asses handed to us last night by an ex-pat Serbian squad in local men's soccer, ahem, action, it only seems right to delve into something from their homeland today. Note - they (the Balkan-Albertans) were all, to a one, drinking Corona and MGD on the 19th hole last night. Just sayin'.
This beer pours a clear, pale golden yellow hue, with two thick fingers of puffy and foamy white head, which leaves some broad spidery lace around the glass as it slowly makes its way down.
It smells of gritty cereal grain (mostly of the corn pops and rice krispies variety), musty grass, and skunky weedy hops. The taste is more adjunct-heavy cereal malt, a bit of acetone, rotting lemon peel, weirdly crisp weedy, and still skunky hops, and some yeasty apple mush.
The carbonation is on the low side, just a wan frothiness, the body medium-light in weight, but fairly clammy in its perceived smoothness. It finishes on the fast and loose road to dryness, unfortunately via the lingering musty, skunky hops and astringent booze esters route.
While not a total disaster, this particular offering just doesn't have that unmolested crispness that good Continental lagers/pilseners should possess, and of course, for what it does have, Imma gonna have to pass - my team could do well to follow the same advice.

Wow. Second Canadian to first to review this brew.
Very pale amber yellow colour. Actually matches the colour of the can nicely. Bone white head, decent retention, impressive lacing.
Meh, Slight sodium bicarbonate & lemon tea aroma
Taste was slightly sweet lemon tea. Finish is slightly off-puuting with a strong weedy bitterness.
Pretty average. light body,decent carbonation
Ok..It ain't German, but it's still better than most macros.

One finger bubbly head on a clear light yellow. Some lacing. The head soon dissapears.
Grassy malt smells. Not much flavour up front. Grassy malts with a metallic bitter finish.
Light body, somewhat watery. Low carbonation for this style. Better than I expected but not something to seek out.

Appearance: Clear, pale golden in color with a good sized white head that unfortunately doesn't last very long
Smell - not very aromatic, I get light malt and some citrus notes.
T/M: Not so good, not so bad, with huge taste of hop bitterness. Crisp, largely watery with medium carbonation.
Drinkability: Easy to drink first few,but after 3th or 4th it goes harder and harder.
