Chilled, from 0.5 L can into a standard pilsner glass.
It's an average (tending to under-average) pilsner-style beer, with nothing to point-out in any way - not a good beer, but not a awful one either.
Clear light gold color, semi-persistent head, medium-carbonation, unrecognizable smell of hops and yeast. Tastes industrial. Mouthfeel is somewhat washed-out.
Overall - a correctly brewed, but not an interesting pilsner beer.

This is….not good. Draft from a Hungarian restaurant near the hotel. A bit touristy. Beer was served wayyyy too warm. But it is beer. Not tasty but good enough to enjoy while in Budapest at a sidewalk cafe. A cheap light grainy lager like all others.

Poured from 500mL can into a kitchen glass. Best by 8/22/23.
Appearance: pale yellow hue with a clear body and some apparent effervescence. Head in a finger of white foam that dissipates pretty quickly. It's not too bad for the style, I suppose.
Smell: malty and quite corny with a dash of hop character. It's not wonderful, but at least there're no off aromas or anything other than the corn (which is called out in the ingredient list).
Taste: a bit malty, a bit sweet, and a bit corny. It's not terrible, but there's something here that just ... doesn't quite work.
Mouthfeel: light body with a decent carbonation and a moderate creaminess.
Overall: eh, this beer is not my favorite in the style. There's a little bitterness, which is good, but the overall mix is pretty unrewarding.

Typical mass produced pale lager. Good for washing down a slice on a hot day but not much more. Little skunky --that reminiscent of its current Heineken lineage

Soproni Classic used to be the best lager in Hungary before they came out with the 1895.
Drinking them in comparison, Classic feels a bit too thin in taste and dry enough in its overtones that would make you feel like something is missing - content, but not carbonation, which is pumped in there amply. Feels as if a lager has been watered down a bit.
If not a must, I would not choose it anymore but if I had to, perhaps it wouldn't make me too sick.
Just wondering if Soproni can make much better quality beer like the 1895, why lower the standard? One good beer would be enough.
