I've had nothing but positive experiences at this Bottle King. One of the managers (Matt I believe his name was) helped me track down a bottle of bourbon I had been seeking out for some time, and they have a very solid, diverse beer selection. Definitely recommended if you are in the area!

Bottle King Morris Plains is probably the best of all BK's in terms of craft beer. They're one of Hunterdon's top 5 accounts for the entire state (which delivers Thursdays btw) so they get whatever they really want. They carry some incredible stuff...got KBS, Enjoy By, Lunch, Palate Wrecker etc very recently. Only downfall is how quickly the stuff goes off the shelf. The main beer guy, Al is a great dude to talk some beer with and will steer you in the right direction. The beer area isn't huge, but they use it well. Definitely a must hit.

This is the closest liquor/beer store to my house and it's OK if I'm not looking for a bomber selection, but some decent 6-packs instead. The few bombers they have are on the very left wall as soon as you go in, while the rest of the beer is on the far right corner of the building. They have DFH, Weyerbacher, Victory and others. Most of the beer is on pallets near the wall of fridges on far right back wall. Prices vary depending on what you're buying (sometimes high, sometimes low). Sometimes I'm asked if I need help, other times I'm not. I typically go in for $3.99 bombers of Stone IPA, or $4.99 bombers of Arrogant Bastard, or packs of DFH 60/90 and Hop Wallop. If you're really close and need to buy beer and wine/liquor, definitely stop in but if you can travel an extra 20 minutes, there are 2 much better places (in Boonton and Madison).

This Bottle King doesn't have a huge selection, but what they do have is quality stuff. This place was one of the few where I was able to find the Flying Fish Exit Series beers, both Exits 4 and 11. They also have some good Belgian 22oz bottles...Chouffe et al...and have good standby's like Smuttynose, Oskar Blues, Boulder, and Harpoon. The help was extremely friendly, and was willing to have a 5min conversation about their favorite beers. One knock is that they don't have all of the NJ breweries' goods, like Climax and Ramstein. All in all, it's not the best place around, but certainly worthy of a visit.

This place was a nice little surprise on the way to BYOB in Madison.

Have been to other BK's and not blown away. Easy to find what you were looking for and organized well.

Biggest fallback was the selection of singles, that really hurt. If in the area, better off getting singles at Garys or even Whole Foods. I only saw a few bombers unless I was missing something. I asked but fitting with service didnt find out much.

Service was actually very poor. The prices were great and that is where I was impressed as well as the selection of sixers. Not among my favorites but good selection overall at good prices.

Having a bottle king in my hometown in livingston, decided to give this one a shot, being equally impressed with the other location in Glen Ridge... This place seemed a lot cleaner and more well organized than the Glen Ridge location, but still couldn't compare with my home town store... service was basically non-existent, no one bothered to ask me to help and was never greeted when I walked in, guess that's what you can expect from a big name chain like this one... selection was pretty good, some rogue bombers, schlenkerlas, and wychwood products... prices were about average, although a little more expensive than the glen ridge and livingston locations... a good place, but being a little out of the way for me, not sure if i'd venture back here...

A liquor store that has a good selection of brews. They have 12 coolers of 6 packs, maybe half are macros. Also they have a row of warm beers on palets but mostly the same stuff as the fridges but by the case. Kegs of the macros too.

The prices are reasonable. They have a good selection of micros. I counted 5 from NJ alone. Plenty of other standards also. Check the back of the store for the big beers and Belgians. They were on a metal shelf. Some were pretty dusty but if they want to age them for me thats fine too... :-)

I didnt get to ask for help but those who were being helped were getting what they needed.
