This is a great little place to find some excellent beers. It doesn't have the selection of places like Belmont Party Supply, but the beers IGA does have are excellent, and some of them are very hard to find. Also, I found the prices to be slight less than at other places (for example, only $10.99 today for Palate Wrecker when it's $11.99-$12.99 elsewhere). They also have some beers that are no longer on the shelves elsewhere, such as an imperial pumpkin ale, although I'm not sure how fresh they would be. Anyway, this is absolutely worth checking out, and I give the guy who runs this store a lot of credit for bringing the unexpected to a little store.

Excellent, although fairly small, selection of everything you wouldn't expect from a small-town grocery store. They had offerings from Great Lakes, Dogfish Head (including oddities such as Sah'tea, Burton Baton, etc.), The Bruery, Bell's, Founders, Rogue bombers, Hoppin' Frog, and a selection of beers that I had never heard if before. Dave, the owner and beer guy, is very knowledgeable and enjoys adding new and interesting brews to his inventory. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the region.

Very surprising for such a small town. We have exactly 2 stop lights and an IGA with a great selection of craft beer. Dave, the beer guy, is a great supporter of craft brewing and goes out of his way to fill requests. I asked about Left Hand Twin Sisters, and 2 weeks later it was in. Seems like every time I walk in the place he is in the beer aisle with something new in hand. There is a nice selection of Belgians, Stone brews, Left Hand, and Rogue. He got a case of Stone 06-06-06 for me and I have a few other requests I hope he can fill. Guys like this are what keeps craft brewing alive and we owe our local retailers our support.
Edit 9/6/07: Dave just got Premium Distributors to finally sell at his place. This means you can now find: AleSmith, Lagunitas, Southern Tier, Bells and a few more I can't recall right now. If you're anywhere near Dayton you owe it to yourself to stop in.

Who would have thought an IGA in West Milton would carry this type of beer. But the owner is a fellow beer advocate and some of the micro's and Imports he carries show it.
Right now you can walk in still pick up a sixer of Christmas Ale from Great Lakes, Blackout Stout, Dogfish 90 minute, Stone Old Gaurdian or Smoked Porter, Deus, a German Eisbock, Left Hand Milk Stout, the list goes on.
Dave is now carrying a plethora or more beers and has expanded the beer section adding an endcap by the original beer section so don't miss it. Now with the likes of Bell's, Weyerbacher, Southampton, Founders, Flying Dog, and the list goes on. Even had Breakfast Stout, OAT, and Pumking!!!!
The prices are every day retail so your not going to overpay and if you're lucky enough to meet the owner than the trip to West Milton may be worthwhile if you feel like talking beer.

I decided to check this place out. Cheers to duhrider for reviewing this, as I would have never thought to investigate this place. Simply a small town grocery store, with an added bonus, craft beer. The selection is not overwhelming, but it is enough to make it very interesting. I found 4 GLBC offerings, including the Christmas Ale which was difficult to find this year. As a bonus, it was refridgerated! Rogue Chipotle & Kells, Dogfish 60 min., Two Bros., Ckipper City, and Stone also made the shelf. A few choice imports such as Salvator and LaChouffe. Also a few 5 liter kegs.Expect normal grocery store service. I found things to be reasonable priced.
