I, too, have been here several times. The food is reasonably priced and the tap and bottle selection is great. They used to have Victory's Golden Monkey on tap but I believe too many non-BA types got rowdy with it and it has not been there since! Shame! I enjoyed Arcobrau Dark on tap and I also had a Duck Rabbitt Milk Stout. NC beers are WELL represented and the micro selection gets better as distributors are bringing more to the market. This place used to be The Exchange and the atmosphere is very relaxing. I can even bring my daughter. Their chips are a very fine waffle cut and are great when served more on the done side. You can get to Natty's quickly from herer and even enjoy Natty's on tap. Cheers!

I had a great visit to this place. I'd never been in before and had tried most of the outlets in the past few years but this was the best so far (if M'Coul's still had the Beamish on, it'd probably be a tie). Friendly, hospitable bartender and a very comfortable atmosphere; almost like a coffee house. Tap selection was pretty good, if a limited. Red Oak was here as well as Natty's and the airport and seems to have really penetrated the local market, which is great to see. We had a little grub, killed several pints, and yukked it up with a local aficionado during happy hour. Hopefully, these guys will persevere.

My second time visiting this place and I like it much better this time.In the area of UNCG so there are alot of hippie types around that frequent this place and the Tate Street Coffee House next door, outside of that annoyance the place is quiet friendly. Alot of students in there playing darts and fuseball (spelling?).Nine taps,Yuengling,Stella,Red Oak one one side on the other Bridgeport IPA,Victory Golden Monkey,Highland Tasgall wich was nice to see,Natty Greenes Regulator doppelbock,Duck Rabbit milk stout, and Arcobrau dunkel lager.A changing menu with some cool stuff like like bratwurst pockets brats in puff pastry, horsradish encrusted salmon were just a few things I saw on the menu. The first time I was there I had the black bean burger wich was ok.Pints were $3 bucks with the Golden Monkey $4.Not a bad place Greensboro needs more places with good taps I will make it here again for sure,

Just noticed that the Lager Haus didn't have a review, so thought I would put one up.
The space was formerally the exchange, but it was shut down sometime last year. Renovations took place, and now it's a true beer bar/grill.
I've been 3 or 4 times since it opened last fall. Great space. Long bar on left side, tons of stools. Tables and booths on right, small band space in front window. Video trivia in front, foosball and a pool table, a few video games in back. There is not a non-smoking area, and it was moderately smoky when I was there after 10pm on time. Other times, not so bad.
They are trying to make the bar a beer place on Tate st (which is the area right behind UNCG, somewhat bohemian and punk rock/indie scene, although the music store/music venue gate city noise is gone. There are still quite a few decent to good other food establishments.
Just walked down and looked at the beer list:
Draft - blue moon belgian white, yuengling lager, stella artois, red oak (local lager), bridgeport ipa, victory golden monkey, highland black mocha stout, natty greene's blue coast pilsner, duck rabbit milk stout, acrobrau black lager. Not bad at all. First time I went there, they didn't have a lager on tap!
Bottles - 3 varieties of he'brew, chimay red, la fen dumond, maudite, duck rabbit porter, rogue american amber, rogue dead guy, brooklyn brown, flying dog in heat wheat, sam adams winter, sam smith winter welcome, celebrator, optimator, sierra nevada celebration, tiger, red stripe, st. pauli girl, guinness, john courage, bass, newcastle, sierra nevada, becks, negro modelo, most of the average standards. They're going for beers around the world, and doing a pretty good job.
The food i've had was good or above average. Good pub type food, but they did have a number of entrees and a bunch of apps. The beer battered fries and tasty, crunchy and great. Burgers and the like are pretty good.
Not a bad little place at all. Along with old town, now two great spots, basically on campus.
Lager Haus has drink specials every night (mon - $2 pints, etc.). There is live music a few nights a week. They have music and a belly dancer on wednesday nights. Worth a shot.

cheers...
