Bottle from the brewery. Pours large thick head on yellow body. Bannana in nose, and yeast. Medium mouthfeel, carbonation right there. Finishes bitter bannana, drinkable. Alcohol and acidic burn after a half pint though.Decent beer but so-so hefe. Gumbally.

On tap at Freshcraft in Denver, CO.

Pours a hazy light yellow color with a 1/2 inch white head that fades to a thin cap. No lacing whatsoever. Smells of wheat, honey, banana, and clove/spice. Taste is of wheat and honey with some floral notes. This beer has high carbonation with a fizzy and crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a good hefeweizen with wheat and honey flavors. I usually don’t like hefeweizens but I enjoyed this one very much. My first beer from Dry Dock.

Pours a cloudy pale golden yellow color with straw/hay colored hues and a half finger frothy white head that quickly fades into a thin ring. Minimal lacing left behind.

Slightly zesty, peppery aroma with hints of clove, bready yeast, banana and citrus rind.

Fuller boded than expected with a luscious bready yeast character that adds fullness and complexity. Huge banana presence that slightly overpowers the pepper and clove notes. Not much citrus flavor which is a disappointment but it's pretty easy to drink, especially during the warmer months.

Found this at the Rackhouse.
Holy crap, this thing is good. I do like Dry Dock, but rarely get over there to get their brews.
Pours a hazy, bright golden/yellow pour with a foamed up head that just looks yummy.
Snappy nose has loads of banana, lemon, orange zest and bubble gum..no fruit added, thanfully. It's not needed.
Lemon dies down in the taste, but is replaced with some mild clove. The banana is clean and a touch of vanilla enters and exits quickly. Damn quenchable, but would perhaps like to see a bit more carbonation for that extra zip. This thing went down quick and at 4.3abv that's a good thing.

Bomber served cold into an imperial pint glass.

Dry Dock's Heffe is a very pale golden color, the hue of wheat actually. The head is tight and slow to settle with some lacing.

Aroma is really wonderful, just about perfect for a German wheat. There is banana and clove as well as lemon and bubblegum.

The flavor is excellent too. It's light and crisp but far from bland. Lots of depth to the flavors and similar nuances as enjoyed in the aroma. The balance is just right between sweet, spice, tart and bitter.

Mouthfeel is light in body and nicely carbonated. Such a nice easy-drinking beer to have after weeks of heavier barleywines and stouts.

Overall an excellent German wheat ale. Probably one of the best American versions I've tried.

Now known as Dry Dock Hefeweizen.

Pours a super cloudy yellow gold body with awhite head.

Huge banana with a light smoky note.

Banana, lemon peel, coriander, the spicy phenols are low to medium while the fruity esters are quite high. Light vanilla too.

Creamy medium full body with crisp carbonation.

As drinkable as it gets. I took down a growler on my own the first time I tried it. Hefeweizens rarely wow you, but this one will.

Note: This review was a re-post from my former account, jmkratt, which was hacked and I lost all my reviews...sorry for the redundancy.

Poured from a 22 oz. bomber to pint glass the day the bottles hit the shelf!

A- Pours a hazy golden/grainy color with a nice 2 fingers worth of thick white head. Good retention with nice lacing.

S- A very pleasant balance of a mild banana aroma mixed with a slight bubble gum spicy note. Not overwhelming at all.

T/M- The beer starts with a fair amount of the yeast characteristics with the banana and bubble gum but quickly fades into a gentle balance of malty sweetness and almost citrusy flavors. The beer finishes smooth and delicate. Very good. Light body with a nice creamy mouthfeel.

D- Very much so.

Overall, this is the best Hefeweizen I've had to date. Not particularly fond of the style but this beer is a winner. I will highly recommend and purchase again.

The label mentions this beer is now known as the Dry Dock Hefeweizen.

Poured from a 22 oz. bottle into a Live Oak pint glass (how fitting). Silver medal winner at the 2009 and 2010 GABF for the hefeweizen category.

A- Pours a hazy yellow, almost like straw. Produced two fingers width of foamy, white head after an aggressive pour. Reduced to a rather thick ring throughout consumption. Some pretty nice lacing as well.

S- Very balanced, yet profound. Bananas and bubble gum characteristics aplenty with a bit of spiced attribute to it.

T- Initially there is a lot of banana, but it quickly dies down and takes on additional flavors...spicy phenols, cloves, with some orange zest. Great flavor profile.

M- I've had Live Oak's Hefeweizen amongst others that I consider to be top hefeweizens, but this is what makes Dry Dock's version different than those. Light bodied, but takes on this wonderful creamy texture. This aspect really brought this beer up a notch for me.

D- As drinkable as you can get.

Overall, one of the top hefeweizens I have ever had. Easy to see how this has placed 2nd ins the last two GABFs. Definitely recommended!
