A stronger Alt that tastes at first sip like a nice old-school malt syrup homebrew. Dark cherry-brown color is quite striking. Cranberry juice and dark rum? Cherry Coke with a jolt of Yukon Jack? Beef bullion and cherry juice? Very fruity and full of dark malt, but bitter at the same time. Tea flavors with a salty and savory taste. Woody edge on the tongue. An interesting sip but drinkability is marginal as the very bitter aftertaste takes over. Smell is winey and medicinal.

Quite hoppy-- listed at 55 IBU. On tap at Dry Dock in Aurora.
