On tap at Falling Rock, September 2012. Poured out a nice ruby and amber, thick tan head on it, she's a pretty beer.

Aroma was a little nutty, that peat malt kind of thing going, this really smelled just as much like a Scotch/wee heavy kind of beer as much as a red, lots of fusel alcohol smell and peat. Not thanks.

Flavor continues down the heavy scotch path. A little bit of toffee breaks into the monotony of hot alcohol and peat. They really amped up the redness and the alcohol in this, I just didn't take to it at all, save for its pretty appearance. This is a beer to be looked at, not drank.

Good looking red beer with a good amount of clarity and a beige head on it that holds its own in the retention category.

Aroma was just hot and malty. Dude.

Taste was super earthy and alcoholic. Really lacked the body for the abv. More like a scotch ale than an amber or red. Imperial is a terrible idea for such a thing.
