Appearance: The pint arrived with a nice white, creamy head. Kind of a pale-ale colour.
Smell: Lots of vanilla and blueberries. Kind of like a blueberry crumb cake. There was a nice rosebush hop aroma as well.
Taste: The vanilla hits first with the blueberry coming shortly after. It's a pleasant, light, spring flavour. Again, there is a definite blueberry crumb cake character to this beer.
Mouthfeel: This almost felt like a nitro pour. The smoothness was almost too much as the sweetness had nothing breaking it up with bubbles. It became a touch syrupy.
Overall: Very enjoyable. I got this in a sampler (6 x 6-ounce sampler glasses) and it was definitely the highlight. They make a black and tan with this and their 6060 stout which my friend tried. He was blown away. Great beer for the coming spring season.

Blueberry Vanilla ale poured a redish copper color, with not much head. There was a sweet aroma, with strong notes of vanilla. The had a sweet berry flavor, and then finishes with a strong vanilla flavor. Good full bodied flavor. Overall a nice full fruit beer.

The brewpub's late winter, early spring seasonal offering this year.
This beer appears a clear medium copper hue, with pinkish highlights, and one finger of purple-tinged creamy white head, which renders a wall of thin lace around the glass in its wake. It smells wonderful - sweet vanilla nougat, and a mild acidic, floral fruitiness. The taste is vanilla caramel malt, a soft, indistinct berry edginess, and an echo of earthy hops. The carbonation is on the low side, the body light, creamy, and very smooth, and it finishes clean, an even fruity, vanilla sweetness presiding.
Well, obviously the vanilla bean is the star of the show here, but in an appealingly understated manner - this is one stellar flavoured beer. My only beef is in the naming - the vanilla should have top billing, as any blueberry essence is barely noticeable.
