Appearance: Pours all foam and takes a while to settle down; the liquid is cloudy and amber
Smell: Fruity, almost in an English pale ale way; caramel undertones
Taste: Caramel and fruit, up front, earthy bitterness develops, mid-palate, with a slightly herbal finish
Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate carbonation
Overall: Rather English, I must say; not bad but not great

App: Apricot with golden hues. Good head retention and lacing. An offwhite whipped egg head.
Nose: Carmel and tropical fruits at first, then muscat grapes and cloves.
Taste: Sweet and syrupy, well balanced, a little too malty and bit of hop bitterness in the middle which does not linger. Grapefruit and citrus in the middle.

Looks quite nice with classic amber color and foamy cap. Has that earthy taste with some herbal bitterness that reminds me of sweet vermouth. Mouthfeel is great, with plenty of carbonation. Flavorful but not much nose. Label says 5.6% ABV. Rather malty but quite dry, a bitter and raspy finish.
Pretty average stuff. With Pale Ales I'm always hoping for clean, crisp flavors with a nice aromatic hop component. This one is pretty murky. Quite drinkable, though I'd want to get it down quick.

On tap in a pint glass, this beer pours a golden straw with a bit of haze and a rich half inch of head. Retention and lacing are good.
Smells of light hops and some raw barley, gathering a bit more complexity as it warms up a bit, yet never offering much variety or depth.
Taste follows the nose with light malt and hops on the tongue, somewhat dry in the middle and with a lingering bitterness. Somewhat coarse and bready on the palate. Light in malt body and quite bitter as a result. Good feel but drinkability is limited as a result of the dryness on the finish.
