Great selection of Dogfish Head (obviously), but no 120 minute IPA... Food ok, but nothing special.

Great atmosphere in this two story building. Rustic look with nice Dogfish Head posters hung all over. A bit plain, but in a good way. Not cluttered like some places.

Quality is excellent. Both in beer and food. The food compliments the beer wonderfully. Try the crab dip!

Selection is good. For me I consider it great, and I love DFH beer. The Chicory Stout was out, which I was disappointed about. Can't fault them though. A good beer goes quick.

The food was really good as well. My parents enjoyed it which is a compliment as my Mom can be hard to please.

Value was great as well. Not to high priced, and there were both cheap and expensive beer choices.

My only knock is on the service which was a little slow. Really it was our server. She wasn't bad, just not fast or attentive.

I will be going back to this place for sure!

In my experience, restaurants with good beer have bad food, and restaurants with bad beer have great food. DFH has both good beer and good food. I do feel that the DFH beers are a bit overpriced (some 8oz pours can be $10.50), but I bet a lot of that has to do with the location. I've seen people drinking Miller bottles, so I guess they serve that too. Be sure to snag their $10 off $29 coupon to make your stay a bit more reasonable. Also be warned that because this place is so popular, it can take a while to be seated during dinner and be a little loud. Reservations aren't allowed unless you have 8 or more people.

The dogfish head alehouse is a cool place to go and grab a few beers and some food. The menu is somewhat similar to the brewpub in rehoboth, but the prices are much higher due to the area. They usually have about a dozen dogfish head beers on tap, with around 8-10 bottles available. The beer selection is solid, the food is very good with a nice selection of offerings. They even had an entire page of gluten-free options, along with an extensive kids menu. Worth a stop, just a bit pricey. Try to go during their happy hour if you can (6 days a week).

I think very highly of and recommend the Dogfish Head Alehouse chain. Food has always been delicious, beer is always outstanding. I have been MANY times to the Gaithersburg, MD and Chantilly, VA locations and have never left disappointed. Clearly the beer quality and selection has been the primary reason for any visit. The surprising part has always been the food which has been a tasty delight on each visit. The downside… the beer is not cheap. So bring some extra funds and imbibe!

Excellent food and a very good selection, especially of Dogfish Head...obviously. Bartenders were excellent, very friendly and had good food suggestions. Handled the rush well as well as a broken glass and other drama.
A definite return for both the food and the beer.

Drove 30 miles over with the wife and a two year old screamer. The three of us loved it and had a pleasant experience. The tin cup of crayons captured my son's attention and he never engaged in his normal restaurant craziness.

The atmosphere was a little truck stop/sports bar for my taste, but speaking of taste, I soon had a reason to forget the lack of ambiance.

They had a good, but limited selection of my favorite DFH offerings and I overwhelmed myself with slightly overpriced selections. They had their current taps listed online, so we knew what to expect and I really appreciated that info being current and accurate.

The staff was friendly and attentive, although a little slow at times.

I was disappointed to find out that three days after my visit they tapped a 120 minute- especially since I asked while I was there and even sent my server to inquire as to when they would tap their next 120. They told me they didn't have any idea and that they didn't have any. 72 hours later folks were lapping up my 120 while I read about it on Facebook.

I dropped a slick hundred in there for two adults and a toddler. My son refused their food but we loved it. I can't stop thinking about it and I look forward to going back soon.

My fiancee and I stopped after moving to the area. The overall atmosphere is pretty good. More of a restaurant layout and felt comfortable. Food was good as well. They seem to have pretty good specials for different days of the week.
The main event for us was the beer. They have a good selection of beers that vary depending on the day. They also have a few that are brewery/alehouse only. Server seems knowledgeable. Quality of beer was great! Seasonal beers were very good and you can taste any beer you wanted to see if you wanted a pint.

Stopped in there with my girlfriend on a Saturday night. They had college football going and it seemed like a fun environment to drink great beer and watch some football. It seemed a little small, but I didn't get a chance to check out the upstairs. They had a small outside section for seating and decent amount of tables in the dining room and a few high tops in the bar area. We started with cajun egg rolls that were absolutely delicious and paired it with a black and tan, made with their chicory stout and 90 minute. They had plenty of beers on tap, several of which rotate. I had the Palo Santo with a tasty steak sandwich, both of which were of very good quality. Hard to think that anything DFH does would be bad quality, so you really can't go too wrong here. Beers were a little pricey, but that's to be expected. Selection is never an issue here, as they have everything from normal (but quality) barfood like burgers and sandwiches to full entrees of various seafoods and dishes. Basically something for every one. Same with the beer and cocktail menu of course. Overall, this is not as cool as the brewpub in Rehobeth, but its an acceptable second. Especially because it is closer to me, so I'll be there more for sure. Dissapointed that they don't sell bottles of the spirits and beers, so if that's what your looking for, you'll have to go to Rehoboth. Really enjoyed the experience though.

Stopped here TWICE on my way to and from Gettysburg this past week. EXTREMELY luckily, my first stop came just as 120 had arrived!!!! Obviously, I had a couple.

Anyway, the bartender was a pretty cool guy. He seemed knowledgeable about the brews and knew the job. The place got busy, but he stayed right on it.

I had a salad with Ahi Tuna, cooked medium rare. OUTSTANDING! Really great selection of food, making the decision a tough one.

The second visit, I had more 120, 'cause you can't always get it. Actually, hardly ever. Sipped on those a while, had the Alehouse Chili, (which was awesome), and just enjoyed myself. Same bartender + one that looked like Jason Bateman. He was cool too. Great experience again.

The atmosphere here is cool, the place is super easy to find (even for an out-of-towner), and my GOD... THE BEER!
