I loved this place. I went to their Pembroke location. They've got a great selection of beers to choose from, and our waitress was really genuinely nice. she even recommended the Dogfish Head 90, which was incredible. I also tried a shipyard pumpkin. The glasses came to our table with pumpkin-flavored sugar crystals around the tip of the glass. I thought that was pretty neat. The pizza wasn't anything too special, but the atmosphere, beers and service made up for that. I'd love to go back soon.

I live in the area, and have been here many times. Very good craft beer selection, friendly staff. Very open inside, lots of seating, and good food.

I love to visit this place at least once a month. I've come with my wife (who doesn't drink, but drives very well), niece (she's too young) and in-laws (oh yeah, they drink). At other times my sons enjoy a night out with dad (once they even picked up the tab). Even after a crappy round of golf with friends, I always enjoy time spent at BBC. Everyone enjoys BBC!
The ale is fine (Fuller's ESB, Pale and Porter on tap are all incredible). It's also good to see many Yank guest brews on tap and in the bottle in addition to the Brit Ales.
The food is varied and well-prepared. The beer-battered Shrimp are outstanding! The Yankee Pot roast, Fish and Chips, Steak Tips and Colossal Meatball Sub are all spot On! A really, really good choice is the Bourbon-Stout Ribs. My wife loves the Hummus appetizer and Veggie Burger (yeah, there's one in every crowd). The only downside is that there is sometimes a wait to be seated. On the other hand the wait presents itself the opportunity to wander over to the bar for a closer look at the beer selection.
Jolly good place, The British Beer Company!

The atmosphere is average chain restaurant. They have loud, crappy cover bands on the weekends and its oppressively crowded. If you go during lunch hour it's quieter but this BBC lacks the charm of the Plymouth (Middle St.) location and one might as well be dining at Applebees. The best feature of BBCP is the patio. Very few places have a patio on the South Shore and one that has a patio and good beer is simply the bees knees.

Service is usually good (there have been exceptions). Most of the staff seem to have been hired for their ability to shuttle food rather than discuss beer, which isn't horrible. Not great, but not horrible. Tap list is sufficient with an obvious focus on UK styles though they often are out of Monty Python.

Food is really good, I especially enjoy the pizza. I have this weird rule where I'm not allowed to eat pizza unless I run a race of half-marathon distance or more. Out of all the places I could have gone I chose here for my Boston marathon pizza.

A..Standard BBC atmosphere, but better than most non-chain local pubs or restaurants. Clean inside and out. An outdoor patio is available. Several flat screen televisions with easy viewing from anywhere inside.

Q..The quality of food and beer was good. The pint of Belhaven I enjoyed was fresh and the glass was excellent.

S..I sat at the bar and was extremely pleased with the service (the bartender was a big guy with a bald head who was polite and seemed knowledgeable). Service was prompt and regular (without being overbearing). Food was out before I was half done with my (large) pint.

S..I have to say the selection is good since there is variety you won't find at many restaurants in the area, but the menu still includes basics if you don't feel adventurous (pizzas, burgers, club sandwich, etc.). A good amount of beer variety as well (I'd say at least fifty between taps and bottles).

F..The food was above average. I had a turkey club with mashed on the side. Food was not bad at all, but certainly not an amazing version of a club sandwich either.

V..My good sized pint of Belhaven, sandwich and side were $14. I found that quite reasonable. Worth a visit if you're in the area.

I was in the area so I decided to swing by after reading some reviews in the local paper. Initially we were prepared to sit at a table but the bartender quickly offered us menus which is better than a 30 minute wait in my book. Selection was great for a restaurant although its expected when British Beer Company is the name of your place. Must be 20-25 taps with all but 2 offering non BMC products(miller ligh and blue moon). Stella Artois, Dogfish 60,Fullers(everything they have),Guinness, Smittwicks, Hoegarden all on tap. In bottles I saw people getting a few different Chimay offerings as well as Sam Smith, all big bottles. We had a great bartender who I noticed passing out free samples of craft beer to people drinking BMC products. The food far exceded my expectations, I split an onion soup with my wife, then had a spicy fettucine alfredo w/ shrimp and my wife had a surf and turf with steak and lobster ravioli, both were good portions and would order again. Dinners were about $15 and beer was in the $4-5 range.
