Had on tap at the Cock and Bull in Covington, KY.
Appearance: Beautiful mahogany. Slight head that quickly dissipated.
Nose: First thing I caught were the sweet, buttery malts. Picked up some slight, earthy hops.
Taste: Sweet, caramel malts upfront. Nearly as soon as it hit the tongue. A bit roasty. Then the hops come in and stand up very nicely. This is very well balanced. Nice earthy, piney hop finish.
Mouth: Densely carbonated. It helps to carry the flavors across the tongue. The hop kick at the end makes this finish dry. Very refreshing, especially this time of year.
Drinkibility: I only had one, but I could have easily had more. Medium bodied, extremely well balance. It doesn't get old.
Wonderful beer. If you have an opportunity to try this on tap, take it. You won't be disappointed.
Serving type: on-tap
