On-tap at Marty's Hops and Vines. Poured into a tulip glass.
Jet black with at least an inch of tan head. Beautiful lacing as this drinks.
Nose has plenty of burnt/roasted malts with a nice espresso note. The guy next to me kept calling it "chewy".
The mouthfeel is definitely big and "chewy" would be spot on. Quite good and plenty to offer. Each sip brings a new amount of dark chocolate, vanilla notes and just a touch of bourbon character. Nice amount of coffee character and bitterness to blend with the roasted malts and bread.
Certainly loads of depth in this beer and I was glad that this was available outside the tap room at Mt. Carmel's Public House. Delicious and this is the most impressed I have been with their beers.
Serving type: on-tap
