Purchased 50cL can at Monoprix in Grasse, France. Brewed March 4, 2010. Best by March 2011.
A-Pours a hazy orange-pinkish gold color w/one finger white head. Retention is okay. Bits of tracing.
S-Sweet wheat and malt, apricots, mandarin orange, soft spice, and light presence of the aromas typical of the style...bubble gum and a touch of banana.
T-Wheat and malt notes upfront, fruitier in the midpalate w/phenols taking over just prior to the finish. Aftertaste brings out a touch of bitter hops, mineral, and a touch of gunpowder.
M-Soft wheat mouthfeel that imparts a bit of creaminess to an otherwise light body. Moderate carbonation. Balance is decent w/just a touch of dryness in the finish.
D-Excellent on a hot day (like today). Refreshing and complex enough to be interesting.
