Nice appearance, with a pale amber color and slightly cloudy clarity (the hefe). Good sized white head, creamy and with decent retention.
Aroma is fairly subdued, with clove-like phenolics, some wheat malt, and some fruity esters coming into play. No off flavors, but not very intense or particularly interesting.
Flavor had some bready wheat malt and clovey phenolics. Minimal hop bitterness and no hop flavor. A citrusy (orange) character develops midmouth, and leads to a citrus finish that isn't very dry. Lingering tart sweetness, but it isn't unpleasant.
Medium low body and moderately high carbonation. Effervescent, yet quite smooth and creamy. Very nice on the tongue.
Overall a nice beer, with a balance of flavors, but slightly subdued in its wheat/yeast character. However, for drinkability this lack of intensity is probably a good thing.

Sampled last night on 7/21/14. Bottle chilled down to 36 degrees F in my beer cooler and poured into a "Cheers-Boston' handled glass stein.
Pours a hazy golden pour with a good 2- finger thick head that lasted a while. Left lots of lacing when sipped. Smells of wheat with sweet orange and spice. The taste was pretty much the same and on the sweet side. Very easy to drink and no bad aftertaste. Hefeweizens are all over the board and this one is one of the best!

Poured a nice deep golden color with two fingers of fluffy white head. Quite nice in appearance and very true to form. Scents of clove-like phenols, banana-like esters, hints of bubblegum and some doughy, bready wheat malt. A good aroma that is true to style, though not standout. Flavor begins with a nice sweet banana flavor with hints of clove and grainy malt balancing. In the middle light bubblegum flavors join the banana and clove and add depth. Finish is semi-sweet, with notes of banana, clove, bubblegum and grainy malt. Aftertaste is grainy wheat malt and clove. A good, though basic hefeweizen flavor profile. Mouthfeel is medium-light bodied with high carbonation and a smooth, creamy feel. Quite pleasant and very true to style. Overall this is a good basic hefeweizen that hits the main notes of the style, though it doesn't do a great deal to standout. Still a nice beer and very refreshing in Summer.
