We pour a golden brew that holds a two finger head of soft white bubbles. It recedes at a medium speed, leaving little lacing. Carbonation is highly active, and no sediment is noted. The beer is entirely translucent, with good clarity. The aroma consists primarily of malts, so much so that it becomes floury to the nose. There are also notes of possible adjuncts such as corn, honey, and a slight nuttiness way in the back. The taste is light, beginning with corny, standard malts. If you hold the sip in your mouth that white flour chalkiness is palpable. The middle is of cleaner malts, with a sweetness that is both bready and citrusy. We finish with these same notes, which mix with a saltiness and some spice. While it is really invisible everywhere else, some alcohol rumbles through in the breath of the aftertaste. The body is medium and the carbonation is medium to high, which cuts down on any creaminess that this brew might have possessed. The feel is otherwise neither coating, satiating, or drying. The mouth is just wet. The abv is within range, and the drinkability is standard.
Overall, what we liked best about this brew was how well the taste made up for a fairly weak and faint aroma. The sipping was clean, for the most part, and easy. The inclusion of the ultra malty flour sensation in both the aroma and the taste conjured up curious thoughts from the drinker.
