330ml bottle poured into a pils glass by freshness date.
The pour produces likely clear to slight hazy dark amber orange color with massive light tan creamy and silky head with good retention. There is no real lace from head’s dissipation but there are some during drink.
The smell consists roasted/caramelized malt, toffee, hint of honey, molasses, dough and some fruits mainly reminiscent of raisin.
The sweetness from treacle, molasses, alcohol, caramel and fruity sweet character sweep throughout the palate against the bready malt, lightly roasted trait and some hop bitterness that try to counterbalance that sweetness.
The body is full with smooth and a bit chewy mouthfeel, mild carbonation and very dry finish.
Yes, it’s really worth a try but maybe a bit too sweet sometimes.
