A: Dark orange with red hues. Looks like a cloudy irish red. Not sure why this lager is not clear (wheat maybe)... who knows. Creamy off-white head that left pretty quickly. No significant lacing
S: Good does of munich malt and the bready aromas that come along with it. There is also a strong scent of clove. this seems more like a bavarian wheat than a doppelbock
T: The flavor is right along the lines of the scent. A bit of maltiness with a semi sweetness. There is a big banana/clove presence that just seems odd for this style. There is a lot of ester character as well
M: medium light body, harsh tasting
D: Im a little confused. This does not at all represent a doppelbock in my mind. There is a hot alcohol, with clove and banana esters in a cloudy, wheat-like beer. If i was guessing blind I would say this is a bavarian wheat beer... weird
