11.2oz bottle (best by 1/2011) poured into a shaker pint glass.
Appearance: Hazy orange-red (not quite coppery) beer with a off-white thin foam across the top. Poured 1/8" thick foam but this died down fast. Some lacing, but this would drift back down the walls of the glass.
Smell: A rich buttery toffee is what I get, and all I get mostly. There are few mild fruit-like notes in there, but it's mostly caramel malt that comes across as buttery toffee for me. For a single note beer it's quite appealing.
Taste: Oh wow - it really is a rich buttery toffee in flavor too. While on the sweet side, it is not cloying and really damn tasty. Dangerously smooth and appealing - an outstanding beer in that single taste. There are some tiny hints of alcoholic notes (dark fruits) at the end, but they are fleeting.
Mouthfeel: Some carbonation on the tongue, but otherwise thick and somewhere between very smooth and slightly sticky. I go back and forth on this one. Either way it goes nicely with the richness of the beer flavor.
Drinkability: This one went really fast, and at this high of an ABV, is really dangerous with how smooth it is. While I wish I had the 500mL bottle, 12oz is enough for one sitting. Still, I would not mind having another one. Went well with a meal (burger and fries) but I could have this one alone to sip and savor....although its so tasty it's hard to sip and savor, I really want to keep drinking more. An outstanding beer in flavor and drinkability. I will definitely pick this up again.

Appearance- Dark caramel with a slight red hue. Almost no head produced.
Aroma- Big whiff of sweet toasty malts.
Taste- Malt dominates this one with big caramel flavors and dark fruit like raisins and plum.
Feel- For such a malt bomb this is very clean and very drinkable.
Overall- Great beer and while heavy on the malt it works perfectly. Incredibly drinkable especially at 8%, which could make this a little dangerous. Definitely worth a try, and I know Ill be getting this again.
