A - A rich burnt orange colour with a tight off white head. Dissipates fairly quickly to a thin film. Minute lacing.
S - Quite robust with burnt toffee, alcohol and some spicy notes. A slight tangy twang is also present.
T - Very sweet, I am hit immediately with a sweet, caramel maltiness. Some fruit and spice notes also come through with the fruit presenting with a slight twang. A slight breadiness on the back of the palate and a warming alcohol note are also present.
M - Not as heavy bodied as it could be with a mild level of carbonation. It is neither cloying nor particularly dry. It could be more impressive but it isn't bad.
D - This isn't a bad beer by any means and offers a reasonable amount of flavour and interest for the 7.9% ABV it packs.
