This reminds me of your standard large package store. They have a decent selection, but the employees aren't really the type that seem like they know their stuff, but they're always friendly. They have a bit of everything, but mostly the standards. Their prices aren't great, but they're not bad either. There were a few surprises in their beer section as they have a decent amount of craft and micro brews for the type of package store they are. They have a better selection than their other location on Smith St in North Providence.

Typical medium size beer/wine/liquor store for the area. They had a small 12 foot long,3-4 shelf section for craft beers in front corner and mix-a-six option but no indication of specials. Oddly the rest of beer selection is in back of store. Although many beers were typical I did see a few surprises among the selection that I haven't seen at more well stocked craft beer stores. I get the impression the craft beer is an after thought and not a high priority. Store layout could be more customer friendly by being less disjointed. Won't be my first stop but may do if I get a little bored with my regular sources.

Douglas, or whatever they have changed their name to since the ruling, has always been a middle-of-the-road beer store. They have just enough craft brews to hit up when you dont want to travel to that GREAT store that takes extra time to get to. Their prices, at times, are a little inflated but have been more moderate within the last year as well. Recently, they have strived to meet the demands of the rising Craft Beer scene as well. Kudos for that. Not much service to speak of but they dont stock up on the little known brews that would require such questions anyhow. A good store to have in the neighborhood.

Very clean store with a lot of cooler space and I’m estimating around 20-25% of it containing craft beer. There’s also one 3-tiered section about 16-20 ft. long for warm craft beer. Overall, I’d say that the craft space is proportionate to the size of the store.
The selection was good, a lot of the more common, higher-quality imports from places like Unibroue & Brauerei Weihenstephan, but there wasn’t too much for the US beers. I would have expected a better selection due to the size of the store, but it was better than their Johnston, RI store. There were two things in the selection that surprised me though. They had Sam Adams Chocolate Bock, which is kind of rare and they 5 different Clipper City brews (most places around here only have Below Decks & Loose Cannon).

I wasn’t approached by any of the employees while I was there, but from what I saw, everyone was pleasant and would have helped me if I needed it.

The prices were normal, nothing too outrageous, yet nothing at a bargain price either. The only sale that I saw was for Harpoon Winter Warmer and it wasn’t cheap enough to make me want to buy it.
