Not too far from my homebrew supply store and favorite local brewery, Dry Dock/The Brew Hut in Aurora! It can get a little cramped on holidays but aside from that a nice medium sized store. Service is good, folks are helpful and knowledgeable and seem willing to assist. Not a bad selection either, a fair amount of singles and bombers as well as the standard fare. Lots of Colorado craft beer, which is always nice! Prices are reasonable. I can't speak for the wine and liquor selection as I am a beer man myself but from that perspective it is worth a shot for sure.

A rather larger store, but not in the top 5 of large stores in this metro area.

Kind of a weird vibe in the place--kind of shoddy. Not much overhead, but I suppose that helps keep the cost down. Building is older; automatic doors weren't automatic. No biggie, just odd

Large selection of beer on the right side, mostly cold. A warm shelf of cast offs (I got a 4pk of Old Stock...no sale, though). Lots of local mircos, 2 doors of single mix-your-own, 3 doors of bombers. Lacking a bit on imports like Belgian saisons or good Germans. Some local stuff wasn't there, so this isn't a super gem. It has enough to keep one busy, that's for sure.

Service was average. Nice, but no one asked me if I needed help (I didn't), but other shoppers were looking for some advice...which I gave. The problem with large stores is that the check out peeps don't really know what their products are. Not their fault, would be difficult to know the whole inventory. But when a SKU isn't working, figuring out the POS can be slow.

Nice store on the east end of the metro

This is most likely the best store in metro Denver. The longest wall is a cooler. Very little of it devoted to macro brewers. ( Coors, etc) The rest of the cooler is all local, import & or craft brews. The selection is phenomenal. The staff was very friendly & helpful. They even offered help carrying stuff back to my car. the prices are competitive. The non-cold selection is outstanding. I was browsing for over an hour.
I highly recommend this store.

(Visited 07/2011): This store is on E Iliff and Chambers Rd on the southeast side of town, not too far off I-225. There is a pretty good sized lot in front of the store.

The beer selection is on the right side of the store, the majority of if in coolers along the wall. There are around 200-300 varieties of beer available. Domestic craft breweries include Durango, Port Brewing, Boulevard, Odell, Lost Abbey, Oskar Blues, Alaskan, Russian River, Laughing Dog, Uinta and many others. As for imports there is an array from Germany, Belgium, the UK etc.

Service is decent for the type of store. I was asked if I needed assistance and checkout was friendly.

Overall this is a solid stop for some good and in some cases uncommon beers.

A--- Great atmosphere. Huge isles for craft and for macro. Good feel to the place and products are easy to find. Well layed out.

Q-- Never have had an issue with any beers there. Even the stuff I have shipped to me back in Sydney. More cool room space than you can shake a stick at.

S-- Friendly knowledgable staff. Have been in several times when home and always easy to get help. Somebody teach Dan Murphy's this.

S-- Impressive selection. RR sours, all sorts of CO products, seasonals, great make a 6 pack selection, glasswear, I could go on and on. Good selection of European stuff and even in the fridge as well. Bought more from this store than any other while home.

V-- Good pricing, well by my standards. Best shop in Aurora by far. Found stuff I would not expect to see. Somebody take the big box stores in Australia to shops like these and learn how it is done correctly.

This place rivals anywhere else I have been in Denver and Colorado Springs for selection, but isn't world class. They have much beer in coolers, including a mix-and-match six pack section (two full coolers of 12 oz bottles), 4 or 5 coolers of six-pack micros and 2 or 3 more coolers of bombers. There is also a large warm shelf of glassware and more rarities (enough to fill another 4 coolers probably). I have found some foreign beers here that I couldn't find anywhere else, and there seems to be a good representation of baltic porters from Poland and even a beer from Estonia. If you are on your way to the airport from the south you will pass this store, and I recommend stopping in. If it was in my local area, I wouldn't go anywhere else. worth checking out for sure in my opinion. (I rated the service as 'average' because I have never interacted with the staff, as I am usually on my way somewhere when I stop in and don't have time to browse much)

Chambers Wine and Liquor has a great selection and reasonable prices. The beer guys could be a little better but if you know what you are looking for its not a problem. The cooler has a good selection of all the standards. If you go to the north end of the cooler there are a couple of doors of singles. A lot of local and regional stuff. Over near the vodka isle there is a warm shelf with a ton of excellent, rare and harder to find beer. Last week I saw Consecration, Legend, BA Ruffian and more all right there. Great stuff.

If you're in the area, I would recommend this place. A better than average selection of micros, including local seasonal bombers, which don't seem common enough around the Denver area. I'd say the space devoted to micros vs. macros is at least 50/50. There is an aisle of micro/import singles and glassware, with different singles available in the coolers. Also found the New Belgium Folly Pack so that I could get my hands on the Cherry Ale. Good enough. Prices were fair, and right up the road is Dry Dock Brewing Co. I'd suggest making an afternoon or evening of the two.

When I moved over to this side of town I was concerned I would have to drive all over town to find decent beer. This store has solved my problems!
Lots of bombers including some UK and German imports you won't see anywhere else...even the megastores.
There are probably 10 cooler doors dedicated to craft beer and imports, and you'll find most local offerings here. They don't have complete line-ups from everyone, but you'll spot almost any major brews that we can get in the region. The staff don't all seem to beer big beer people, BUT their selection implies that someone involved with the store is.
It's not perfect, but if you live in Aurora this is probably the best beer store in the area.
This is probably the best neighborhood store in SE Denver, so stop in if you're in the area.

EDIT: Recently they've expanded their beer selection to encompass a non-refrigerated aisle with seasonals, bombers, and a ton of glassware. This is by far the closest store to me and 90% of the time they have exactly what I want, especially as of late. It's good to see the store embracing the beer crowd.

EDIT #2: Mixed 6-packs are now available, too. This store is now among the best non-superstore beer shops in the metro area now.
