Quality and Slection: They have half of an isle dedicated to warm craft beer, in the coolers are Magic Hat, Long Trail and SA for decent cold beers. There are very few singles. They have some good warm brands, Left Hand, SN, DFH, Harpoon and such, and some foreign beers as well. Not a good selection of bombers or anything special. Way too much BMC and other junk.
Service: Nobody there seems to really be into beer, more hard liquor if anything. They actually print out BA reviews on some beers.
Value: They have some good prices at times, but overall a rather high markup. Once in a while they will have some good variety packs like Ipswich or Brooklyn, but the prices are way inflated.
Not much in northern RI, but this is good enough.

This was one of the first "Beer Meccas" that I started going to about ten years ago. They used to have a decent selection of Rogue, Ommegang and other popular microbrews. It seems that the selection has dwindled down over the years, catering more towards macro brews. The micros/imports that they do have seem to have little though to their organization. The actual store is large and clean and certainly has the room for a formidable craft beer selection. I'm not sure why they chose to move away from it. It's certainly not the same store that first purchased my first bottle of Dead Guy Ale.

Went to this Douglas Wine & Spirits to pick up a sixer of Cascazilla to find out they were sold out. Anyways, this one isnt nearly as good as the Douglas in Cumberland. The one in Cumberland stocks Houblon Chouffe, some Rogue, Chimay, etc...this one not so. Also, I usually stand around for at least 15 minutes trying to decide what to take home with me and not once, in my handful of visits, have I ever been asked if I needed any help. I'm not sure if the staff would know much about the craft selection anyhow. These Douglas stores have the room and potential to have a crazy craft setup but seem to be one of them stores in it for the bottom line, first and foremost. I mean, I guess it's better than your average store but the prices are very steep. I usually stop here only if Im desperate and lazy.
