A- clear golden apricot with lemon yellow highlights. Very nice pitted white head and thick little clumps of lace.

S- orange, lemon, and like citrus with light grapefruit and pineapple balanced nicely by and almost shortbread like malt sweetness.

T- assertive resiny bitterness and much more woodsy and piney than the nose suggested and with an herbal lemony grassiness as well. Yeasty bread and herbal hops in the finish.

MF- mostly light and effervescent with a somewhat oily feel.

D- decent APA, pretty much par but kinda boring.

Pours a clear bright orange color. Soapy head and lots of lace. Aromas of caramel and toffee. In the taste, citrusy, earthy herbal hop. Light toasted malt and buttered biscuit. There is a good level of bitterness, and the beer is in balance. Pretty hoppy for Penn, but then again they are brewing a lot of IPA style beers now. This is close to IPA territory, with a nice fresh hop character.

On-tap at the brewpub. Bar keep told me this is a dry-hopped pale ale. Received in a pInt glass.

3.5 A: Lightly hazed light orange color. Came without much of a heAd but what was there left lacing.

3.0 S: Piney and floral but only barely so. Weak aroma overall without much contribution from the malts. Average here.

3.0 T: Bitterness is stronger than the light pine and herbal hop flavor. Minor yeasty flavor and not much else.

3.0 M: Lighter medium body. Good moderate carbonation. Lacking any creaminess.

2.5 D: For the most part this is an overly bitter light flavored pale ale. Lower end of average.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a tulip glass. Why not?

Couldn't find a bottling date. Couldn't really find too much online either about this beer. All I know is that it's specially bottled for The Seven Springs Ski Resort here in Western PA. Don't know if it's similar to their normal APA or not...

A: Pours a slightly cloudy straw/copper color. Plenty of fizzy bubbles shooting up through the glass. A finger of frothy eggshell colored head. Solid lacing.

S: Hops, hops, hops. Pine and citrus. Chinook or Simcoe or both if I had to guess. Smells dry and fantastic. Sweetness is noticeable.

T/M: A decent bit of bitterness upfront. Just enought to let you know it's a hop forward beer. But just before it gets to be the dominant flavor, a wee bit a biscuity malt presence kicks in. The there's mostly a piney hop flavor straight through the middle to the end. Very dry in the finish. Moderate to high carbonation. Thin to medium bodied.

O: A very solid APA. No date on the bottle, but I'd have to think it's pretty fresh...lots of hop presence. Nothing extraordinary, but a very drinkable, very good example of the style for sure.
